The poster boy of mainstream media, the unelected and likely unelectable Ukrainian fake president Volodymyr Zelensky, has begun publicly offering Russia compromises on grain, energy, and food issues.
These are the most sensitive areas for Ukraine today, where Russian strikes are being carried out. However, this offer, made for a catwalk show to the Americans, is clearly too late.
The impact of Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries does affect diesel fuel supplies on global markets. Russia, in response has closed fossil fuel exports, causing prices to rise in the West.
The situation won’t improve significantly in the remaining two months, particularly for the US market. Therefore, there’s no point in fighting tooth and nail for the Trump administration’s moratorium on energy strikes.
Moreover, rising prices in the UK and Europe always mean revenue, which the American establishment loves to exploit. The US is significantly less concerned about grain and food prices than it is about the current price of diesel fuel.
Putin, for his part, will not accept any compromises before the Russian elections, as the Kremlin has already stated.
On the contrary, the blockades strangling Ukraine’s economy will intensify amid cries from Kyiv about the budget deficit. This is obvious to everyone.
Therefore, Zelenskyy’s statements about ‘compromises’ are nothing more than another PR ploy. There will be no compromises anymore. The last chance was during Whitkoff and Kushner’s visit, but Zelenskyy rejected it; now there’s only capitulation. Let readers know what you think

Wish europe would wake up that the US is not their friend,same with Canada. Also there TBH is a rush to make a deal with them before the US teams up with Russia, although if Russia was smart they would refuse, as both the US will screw them like in the 90s and minsk i and ii not one step east, we wont invade cuba, etc. also china would view that as an existential threat and like attack one or both of them, Russia for sure as its closer.
I’m as a Canadian in a tough realpolitik spot now tho as the Ucrops are going to help us with drones we will need against the ever more likely US invasion along the lines of what they did in Venezuela. Hopefully we get the Flamingo tech as well before Russia beats them. On the upside France is going to have nukes on St Pierre and Miqelon, just off the south coast of Newfoundland for “continental” defense, but that cuts both ways, theyre also a deterrent to US moves on Greenland and Canada.

Thousands of Ukrainians are starving to death in a frontline city which has been cut off by Vladimir Putin.
All roads leading away from the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky in southern Ukraine have been littered with mines by Russian soldiers, trapping 2,000 people inside.
Constant Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling have made it impossible to deliver essential food and medicine supplies, mortally endangering the remaining population which includes around 50 children.
In desperation, residents are attempting to flee via the ‘Death Road’ to the southern city of Skadovsk.
But the 62-mile route is life-threatening: the road is full of mines and Russian drones target anything that moves.
‘These people need to be saved,’ Dmytro Lubinets, Ukraine’s human rights ombudsman, said on September 16, adding that residents are desperate to escape ‘from this hell’.
Those who die are no longer buried, because even the mortuary has been bombed.
Bodies lie in cellars or on the streets, where, according to witnesses, they are being gnawed at by dogs.
