Liberate Yourself from Addiction: The Power is Within You

Michael Walsh. Addiction is far more common than is thought. Any dependency is merely the dumb belief that addiction is so fixed that it is irremovable.

Like any stain, dependency can be removed; the secret is in knowing how.

Wake up to the power of the mind

Knowing how to remove any dependency is far simpler than you think. Furthermore, dismiss the fearful possibility of relapse, which again is a misconception.

You, not the addiction, are in control

The trick is to realize that the self-healing unleashed natural power of the human mind is far stronger than any so-called dependency.

No more fatal attraction. Once you accept this proven reality, any and every addiction loses all of its power to control you.

You do not need expensive medical help

To lose an addiction, you do not need expensive medical intervention, drugs or rehabilitation.

You can do it, only you can do it. Turning the key to open the prison gates of addiction is already in your hands. You were born with the key; no one but you has the key. Only you.

Crutches don’t cure the cripple

The recovery process from any dependency is already hot-wired into your psyche, your mind. It doesn’t need outside help.

The complete and permanent removal of drug or alcohol dependency, nicotine, being overweight, or a controlling or abusive relationship

Ending bad habits such as nail-biting or dependence on pornography is successfully accomplished by tens of millions of liberated people every year.

You can be one of them

First of all, accept the undeniable: There is no such thing as dependency. Addiction is a trick word that deceives you into thinking that something is impossible to take away. Forget the term ‘addiction’. It exists only in your mind because someone put it there.

Irremovable is a negative word, and pessimism is the greatest ally of so-called addiction. Negativity, ‘I cannot do it’, or ‘I lack the will’ is the harbinger of failure.

The magic word

You can cure yourself of any and all of the above-described words relating to addiction by applying and releasing the power of just one short word.

How can I be so certain? Because I too have been addicted to nicotine, nail biting, an inappropriate job I liked but offered only ill health, an abusive relationship, and others that I cannot recall.

Liberation

Far stronger than so-called addiction is the awesome power of being liberated from being controlled.

This incredible, rejuvenating and motivating force is released as soon as you snap open the shackles of dependency.

Easier said than done?

No, I am not preaching. In some of the powerful addictions I have mentioned earlier, I turned the key. There was no relapse; failure never entered my mind.

Euphoria

Although a man of words, indeed, I have made a good and satisfying life from writing, I cannot begin to describe in words the rapture I felt by liberating myself from my past addictions.

An abusive relationship, nail-biting, a job or lifestyle I liked but offered no future, depression, a bottle of wine each night, nicotine addiction, etc.

Immediately, a new and far happier world opened before me. It was like being reborn. Why? Because I had literally been reborn, and I was the midwife of my rebirth.

Immediately, I began to plan a future life without shackles or ankle restraints. I cut the umbilical cord of despair and early death. The sense of euphoria was exhilarating.

You will fail unless

Here, it is important to grasp the essential components of kicking an addiction.

Never, I repeat, NEVER surrender to the weasel words, ‘I will see if I can last until .. .. ..’

As soon as you utter or even think these negative words, you accept the possibility of failure. So, you will, of course, fail.

You must pledge on impulse

Secondly, the resolution to liberate your mind, body and soul is not and never will be something to put in your diary. I tried that useless ruse scores of times, and on every occasion I failed. On that diary day, you will likely be in the wrong frame of mind.

If you are committed to ending any of the above so-called addictions, then YOU MUST PLEDGE ON IMPULSE.

Welcome to euphoria and a new life

Keep your resolution in your mind, at the back of it. Then, one day or on waking up, you will, on impulse, stub your last cigarette out.

You will pack your bags, stop biting your nails, or taking the alcohol out of the fridge, and hurl the lot into the nearest street dumper.

Welcome to euphoria, embrace a new and much longer life and total liberation.
