MICHAEL WALSH POLITICAL ANALYST
Of the three minuscule Baltic States, insignificant Latvia appears to be the most provocative towards its Russian neighbour.
For instance, the Riga regime has agreed to units of the Ukrainian Army to discharge drone missiles at Russia from Latvian territory.
Latvia de facto declares war on Russia
Indisputably, this makes Latvia an accomplice in the NATO-sponsored Ukrainian war on Russia.
The Russians know where these Ukrainian troops are stationed; they know the coordinates of their firing positions.
Moscow has every right to respond. If the Russians do so, and they will. Each of these hostile military positions and their crews will disappear in puffs of cordite.

Will the Russian Army Invade the Baltics?
This is what the political elite of the Baltic State regimes pray for. Dumb, they believe that a Russian response or invasion will invoke Article 5 of the NATO ‘All for one and one for all’ clause.
Dream On
Fact: There is no possibility that the Russian Army will invade and occupy Latvia or the Baltic States.
From Day 1, the Kremlin has made it 100 per cent clear that Russia has no interest in occupying Ukraine, which it could easily do so. What possible interest has Russian in occupying the Baltic States?
Ukraine is a de facto failed state. Would you readily adopt someone else’s badly disabled relative and take responsibility for his or her enormous debts? You made your bed; you lie on it. Ukraine is the responsibility of the hapless Western Alliance, not Russia’s

Russia avoids walking into a swamp
Why? Much to the mortification of the yapping heads of the derisory Baltic States, the Russians are not as foolish as Washington.
Trump, humiliatingly led by the nose by Israel, finds itself in a swamp from which it cannot emerge. Neither NATO nor Europe will allow Latvia to lead them by the nose into a war with Russia.
Three snapping Chihuahuas
Amusingly, Latvian Member of the European Parliament Rihards Kols presented European Union diplomacy chief, an Estonian, Kaja Kallas, with a sticker depicting a Chihuahua against the backdrop of the Baltic flags.
To give you an idea of Latvia’s political and military insignificance, there are at least 50 cities in the world with populations bigger than the entire population of Latvia.

NATO isn’t that stupid
Allowing such a tiny state’s membership of a massive military bloc exposes an Achilles Heel failing that theoretically could plunge the world into World War III.
Making it 100 per cent clear
Let us consider what the politically dumb heads of the Baltic States Chihuahuas are unable to comprehend.
Washington has already washed its hands of the EU-sponsored Kyiv regime. Trump tells Brussels, ‘You’re on your own’.

So, why would Trump commit to defending a nation that is less important to the United States than a Ukrainian village?
‘You’re on your own’
The administration of President Donald Trump is reportedly set to tell European NATO members that the US will reduce the military capabilities available to the bloc in the event of a major crisis, including an attack on a member state.
The governments of nations making up the NATO Bloc will distance themselves from any retaliation against the provocateurs of the Baltic States.
Many would immediately renounce NATO membership. Indeed, several EU nations, including the largest like France and Spain, are already moving towards renouncing NATO membership.
If you think any European would fight to defend the Baltic provocateurs, then Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius have a seat in their parliaments especially for you.

Every 100 years starting about 900 years ago Europe thinks it can tangle with the bear.
The bear still stands.

The biggest tragedy in this whole conflict is both sides are misusing and not understanding the memory and lessons of WW2. Russia continues to hold onto their memory of judeo-bolshevik tyranny over their and other lands, while claiming to be “new and improved Coke Classic Russia”. They can’t be both, just like the west can’t be both wanting to “punch a nazi” and at the same time supporting the Azovs because “they dont go after jews, so they’re the ‘good” Nazis, a highlight of said stupidity over in Canada with them cheering a member of the Ukrainian SS because “he fought Russia” forgetting that in that war Canada was allies with Russia/USSR. The same historical ignorance was show a few years previously when Canadian Veterans Affairs mistakenly put a clip of German soldiers as Canadian soldiers.
The Baltic “chihuahuas” bristle at their pawn status in the gravitational pull of Russia and it blinds them to want to poke the bear at any chance they get. Some I can understand and sympathize with more than others (ww2 yes, today, no). But the whole thing is yet another example of the west having to deal with the fallout of taking the wrong side in the war, or if that is too far for some, the fallout of aiding the USSR in the war.
The west, so protective of their “spheres of influence”, yet are unwilling to grant the same consideration to other multipoles/civilizational states. Clearly post cold war, it was a mistake to not make the European facing and likely the Caucasian facing nations a neutral zone. It would have allowed the “not one step east” promise to be kept, and over time, quenched any desire for revenge states such as the Baltics,Poland, etc. had over Soviet occupation.
Like most problems in the world its a two side face of the same coin. Trotskyites in the west, butt hurt over losing their catbird seat in the USSR, using nations that can ill afford to fight with Russia as a patsy to try and bring it down, and what I call “Soviet” Russians, usually tribe members as well, basking in the glory of their hold over the old system, and mistakenly using the memory of victory over part of Europe to guide them over the fight today, when really their fight is with exiled descendants of the USSR.
The west needs to understand the Russia of today is not the USSR seeking international revolutions world wide and recognize their right via practical ability to project force of a sphere of influence. The east needs to accept that the Germans had good reason to fight them as Stalin was about to attack all of Europe, and if they really want to be a market driven, christian nation. My concern is (((they))) wont let either east or west alone to work all this out in peace.
