Twice elected German President-Chancellor Adolf Hitler has received more publicity than any other world figure, dead or alive.

His persona, that of his political colleagues, his political party, and the rise and ruins of the Third Reich provide sufficient written material to fell several rainforests.

At the latest count, an estimated 750,000 different book titles relating to Hitler, the Reich and World War II have been published.

Additionally, tens of thousands of movies, documentaries, radio broadcasts, and media stories, among others. Unfortunately, all but a few relate to the Reich or its founder in terms that could be described as non-partisan.

Any legitimate court of law allows the accused to defend themselves so that an objective assessment of them and their deeds can be considered.

The internationally condemned Nuremberg Trials and Military Tribunals were not based on principles of legal philosophy, so no serious scholar draws conclusions from these quasi-courts’ deliberations and findings.

Of course, having taken his own life rather than be paraded in a cage through Red Square, subjected to victors’ justice and publicly executed, there could be no such trial for the founder of the Third Reich and heretic who had founded a new religion to complement Christianity.

The absence of legitimate trials of the accused by the victor nations means we debase ourselves by applauding the findings of courts in which the defendant, defence counsel and witnesses for the defense are excluded.
