MICHAEL WALSH: Decades ago, the smarter of us realised that for women the term ‘liberation’ meant putting marriage and child-rearing on hold.

At the time, a man could earn enough to feed an entire family; in my case, my stepfather, a carpenter by trade, bought our home, looked after my mum, six children, a dog and a rabbit.

Now, to raise one or two children, state-funded family planning is the maximum recommended.

Both parents need to work until their fingers bleed; too tired at night to even think about adding to the delightful brood. Worse, even the rent is unaffordable.

As a predictable consequence, the White birthrate is falling dramatically. With postwar generations too few in number to pay the pensions and taxes adding up to near 50 per cent of one’s wages (men and women), non-White immigration is encouraged.

Some women are catching on

Our lives are all single women, and we do not have children

I increasingly feel, as do my close friends, that the feminist movement has failed our generation. I sometimes think, as do my friends, that the West has moved beyond feminist philosophy and that it has become harmful.

So where in this world are women like us left until we reach our mid-fifties and find ourselves alone?

Hostile to Men – Their Fathers and Brothers

Accordingly, I was hostile to men to the point of keeping them away, and now here I am paying the price for that.
