The US president has said Canadian businesses will avoid impending tariffs by moving south of the border.
US President Donald Trump has urged Canadian businesses operating in the American market to relocate south of the border immediately, amid an escalating trade war between the two neighboring nations.
Trade War
The demand follows Trump’s announcement of new 50% tariffs on Canadian cars, trucks, automotive parts, and steel. These nail-biting tariffs are set to take effect on January 1.
They are in response to what he claims is Canada’s ’unequal treatment’ of American vehicles, dairy products, and alcohol.
Ottawa vows payback time is coming
The duties are in addition to 50% levies imposed earlier this month on around $20 billion worth of Canadian imports. Ottawa has vowed to retaliate with ’dollar-for-dollar’ measures.
In a post on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump described Canada as ’one of the Worst Abusers’ in trade. Meanwhile, he credits tariffs with having revived, and indeed saved, the American automobile industry.
I don’t want anything Canadian
‘I don’t want Canadian cars, I don’t want Canadian parts, I don’t want Canadian anything,’ he wrote.
’They’ve been ripping us off for decades, and it’s going to stop,’ he added, describing Canada’s leadership as ’the worst’ among those he has ever dealt with.
Escape the tariffs by moving south
‘Let all Canadian Companies that are doing business with America move to the United States, immediately,’ Trump said in a follow-up post. ’When you move back, there are no TARIFFS!’
Talks Collapse
Trade negotiations between Washington and Ottawa collapsed on August 21, with each side accusing the other of making last-minute changes to a proposed comprehensive agreement.
The following day, the US imposed 50% tariffs on a range of Canadian products, including wine, cement, plywood, and clothing.
Boomerang Tariffs
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney responded by announcing duties of up to 50% on around 700 American products, scheduled to take effect on September 8.
Doug Ford, the premier of Ontario, Canada’s most populous province and the center of the country’s automotive industry, has urged Ottawa to consider progressively stronger retaliation, including restrictions on oil, potash, and strategic mineral exports.
Punching America’s lights out
He has also threatened to raise electricity prices or halt supplies to the US altogether, potentially affecting 1.5 million American homes and businesses.
Trump dismissed Ford’s threats as bluster, branding Canadian leaders ’clowns’ who needed to ’fall in line,’ and hit back on Thursday by signing an executive order directing federal agencies to rename Lake Ontario ’Lake America’ on US government maps, contracts, documents, and communications. Canadian PM Mark Carney is another globalist puppet just like Trudeau was before him. Canada is not a free country as they want us to believe. It is ‘British Common Wealth, with the exception of Quebec (French). British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario has been under severe strain with the endless import of migrants from China, India, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. They suffer from corruption, rise in crime, the Indians don’t like the Chinese and vise versa, ’cause they compete in an already extreme tide commercial and housing shortage, using fraudulent permits and building codes. Extreme discrimination against White Canadians in the job market is another such ilk. Now the government is coming after their homes and properties of Canadians, wanting to hand over entire cities to various Canadian Indian tribes. The insanity is beyond.
Let us be reminded when the truckers protested by the thousands, driving across the country to Toronto, Ontario ( East ), these Canadian patriots and every supporter who lined the streets and highways were treated as terrorists. The Canadian government had the audacity threatening the citizens with imprisonment, fines, confiscation of their licenses, loss of employment, etc. The government goons then ordered the closing of thousands of bank accounts of these citizens, who lawfully protested in peace without doing harm to anyone. The Central Banks complied in this illegal action. Donations wired in support to these brave Canadians were intercepted, withheld, not paid out to the recipient. Companies like ‘Go Fund Me’ and ‘Pay Pal’ participated in this crime. On top of everything, Canadians have in the last 15 years endured an avalanche of racist attacks on every level just because they’re White ( European Heritage ). The brainwashed anti- white clowns ( Marxist/Communists ) can’t get enough blaming ‘Whitey’ for the ills in this world. Vancouver and Victoria are no longer recognizable as more and more Canadians have moved out and relocated into smaller cities and towns during the last 18 years.
The farmer’s protests in recent years is another example. People are controlled by food shelter and clothing. Screw with farmers anywhere and see what happens.

Social Security nears ‘cliffs edge’ — putting recipients at risk of losing $500 a month

According to a report from the New York Post, Social Security is approaching a financial breaking point that could slash monthly payments for tens of millions of Americans by hundreds of dollars.
The program that delivers retirement, disability, and survivor benefits to more than 71 million people is projected to exhaust its reserves by 2032 if Congress fails to act.
The Social Security Administration has warned that once the trust fund is depleted, incoming payroll taxes would cover only 78 percent of scheduled benefits. That shortfall translates into an average reduction of about $500 a month for recipients.
Lawmakers describe the timeline as unforgiving. “This train wreck is going to happen,” Rep. Steve Womack (R-Ark.) said. “So as early as six years from now, we’re going to have to have a plan. And of course, I’m a big believer that we need to deal with it now, or we need to start the process of dealing with it now.”
A wave of proposals has reached Capitol Hill this year, yet none have become law. In July, eight senators introduced the Promise Act, bipartisan legislation that would force Congress to produce a plan capable of keeping the program solvent for at least 50 years.
Senator Thom Tillis, a co-sponsor, underscored the urgency: “I won’t pretend there’s consensus on how we solve this, but the math is unforgiving: the longer Congress waits to act, the fewer good options remain, which is why I am proud to support this legislation.”
Weeks earlier, the Bipartisan Social Security Commission Act was filed in the House to create a special committee charged with developing solutions.
Another measure, the Social Security 2100 Act, first introduced in 2017 and refiled in June, would raise benefits by 2 percent for current and future recipients, lift the minimum benefit to 125 percent of the federal poverty line, and switch the annual cost-of-living adjustment from the CPI-W to the CPI-E, a measure that better reflects the spending patterns of people 62 and older. The bill would also require higher-income earners to pay more into the system.
Advocates say the 2100 Act contains many of the changes older Americans have long requested, but they doubt it will clear the current Congress. “Although the Social Security 2100 Act is unlikely to pass in the current Congress, it should.
The bill is the gold standard for Social Security reform and accomplishes the majority of changes older Americans want to see for the program,” said Shannon Benton, executive director of The Senior Citizens League.
Without legislation, the program’s ability to pay full benefits will expire in six years, leaving recipients facing an abrupt and substantial drop in income.

In regards to the above commenter who was talking extensively about Canada, the govt, the convoy, the people, etc. as a convoy supporting Canadian I have a lot to say about that and the article subject.
While true mostly about the weaknesses of Trudeau’s government and the fact Carney was his economic advisor for 4-5 years before becoming leader of the party. One has to look at where were the other parties and where was the US at that time and after.
The only party that supported the truckers was the PPC (people’s party of Canada), while true that the CPC (conservative party of Canada) leader Erin O’toole lost his leadership over his stand against the truckers, the interim and then leader Pierre Pollievre was at best lukewarm of support, only if the days focus group said it was ok to do so.
Where was the US falling on this issue, well in a foreshadowing of its press to follow, the Ambassador Bridge was blocked during the convoy to pressure the Cdn govt to hear their demands, but as integrated as the auto market is that also put pressure on the US govt. Biden demanded Trudeau do something, and accounts vary but its largely believed that the “Emergencies Act” an update of the old “War Measures Act” was invoked that allowed the govt to do many of the bad things they did during that time, which was later ruled a violation of the constitution to have done, but of course, no one was punished.
Trump, as it was politically expedient, had some support as it was making Biden look bad to have idle car plants in detroit while the bridge was blocked. But time has shown him to be no friend of Canada.
So, that was then, how about almost now? trump gets in late 24, he and Justin trudeau cant stand each other, and while we were looking forward to the sparks between them, we were waiting mostly for the clock to run out on his regime, as Oct 2025 an election had to be called, if not before, in which he was facing a brutal defeat (he was @ 35 points down in the polls). He ended up resigning from a combination of sinking polls. a decade of bad industrial, economic and immigration policies, his finance minister openly pointing his faults in her resignation letter, virtually unheard of as they usually say they “want more time with family, etc.” and the furore over Trump and his calls for Canada to be the 51st state and as readouts of phonecalls between them became public, Trump had threaten to revoke one of the boundary treaties between us (now in usual Trump ignorance, he didnt know there were at least two previous ones delining the same basic border).
So while we were disappointed we didnt get to vote Trudeau out, at least he was gone, and Carney was voted party leader and thus Prime Minister until an election had to be called by October 2025. He got a bump in the polls was only down @ 15-20 points, so he was not sure when to call an election, but then the 51st and tariff rhetoric was turned up so he called a spring election as his anti trump rhetoric was the only option for the party as the CPC was all in for being pro USA and pro Israel.
Now, if youre still here LOL, is where it gets odd, still at this time people wanted the liberals out, but the more Pollievre acted like Trump and was unlikable, people started to shift away from him. Now Trump, you would think would throw his support behind Pollievre both being aligned policy wise and political ideas, but typical of thin skinned Trump, he claimed he had said something about him that was insulting, so he wanted carney to win. Very odd to want the guy who won his leadership on sticking it to you.
So the boomers came out in droves to vote, as older ppl usually do and they were mostly Liberal supporters anyway, and the more pollievre got seen as Trump lite, they wanted nothing to do with him, so carney won in an almost majority govt which he secured via some CPC members switching over to the Liberals (note: tonight he won 3 by elections that kept his majority…barely).
So for a PPC supporter like me, who knowing his party will likely never win, at least wanted the most conservative option possible, but with the combo of Trump opening his big mouth and swinging our election from -25 liberals to a liberal win, and lack of confidence of pollievre being able to handle the US and Trump, i’m left feeling like my election choice was rugpulled from me, so im hoping now that Carney will stick it good and hard to the US, not because I support all his policies, but hes the one Trump wanted, so very fitting he get hoisted on his own petard, politically speaking. Also as things moved from just us fighting internally over our economic and immigration future, the fight over US annexation took priority and while pollievre would have been the best option if the US was like it was in 2024, but now, even I reluctantly have to say carney is doing the best job, as he has taken on board some of the failures his past govt under Trudeau did and is trying to fix them and limit our trade with the US. It’s kind of like when a family fights among themselves but when the guy down the street starts talking shit, family squabbles get put aside and its all for one, one for all. Thats how a conservative populist can overlook for now, the same govt that was so much shit for the past ten years and bad covid policies made the convoy necessary.
