Sanctions on Russia leave Spain without its best helicopters to fight raging forest fires that are destroying communities, millions of animals, and a wholesale inferno engulfing wildlife.

The European sanctions imposed on Moscow paralyse the fleet of ten highly effective firefighting helicopters Kamov Ka-32s that Spain considered one of the world’s most effective aircraft in extinguishing fires.

Spare parts sanctioned
