According to the Washington Post, the US regime in deep state Washington is planning for wider war with Iran.
The White House is likely unaware it lacks the resources needed for an extended military campaign; an American official has told the paper.
The US and Iran are on the precipice of all-out conflict, the Washington Post reported on Sunday, citing sources familiar with discussions in the While House. According to the paper’s sources, Washington is ramping up its air war assets in the Middle East.
Mounting US Casualties
The warning comes as the Pentagon confirmed that at least four US service members had been killed after Iranian forces launched retaliatory strikes on American military facilities in the region. According to the New York Times, US forces were hit by Iranian missile and drone attacks several times over the past week, wounding dozens of troops and damaging several Black Hawk helicopters.

As both sides escalate strikes on civilian and military targets, the Pentagon is boosting the number of military aircraft in the Middle East, according to the Washington Post.
The US is planning for a wider war,’ an unnamed US official told the paper, while warning that the American military effort would be limited by dwindling air defense interceptor and missile supplies, which had been actively used up during the previous stages of the war.

‘We do not have enough to safely sustain operations, and I don’t think the White House is aware of that,’ the official told the Post. Military experts cited in the report said Washington remains unprepared for potential ground operations inside Iran–an option US President Donald Trump has refused to rule out.

On Friday, Axios reported that Washington had notified Israel that it was sending dozens of additional refueling planes ahead of a possible expansion of operations against Iran.
According to the article, Trump was presented with several new military options, including strikes on Iranian power plants and further attacks on nuclear sites to bury Tehran’s stockpile of enriched uranium even deeper.

Saeid Golkar, an expert on Iran’s security services, told the Wall Street Journal that the situation risks getting completely out of hand.
‘’This escalation is rapidly intensifying and getting out of control,’ he said. ’There is a risk we will go back to a total war even if neither side wants it.’

A CNN analysis suggested that ’a decisive US military victory over Iran seems a distant prospect.’
In echoing remarks, Sina Toosi, a senior fellow at the Center for International Policy, warned that a ground operation in extreme summer heat against a fully mobilized military and a population that has largely rallied around the war effort, would be an extraordinary gamble practically guaranteed to be a historic disaster.’

Meanwhile, despite Trump’s assurances that the US had already crippled Iran’s war potential, several US media outlets reported that Washington is growing concerned about the Iranian military’s increasing effectiveness at penetrating American air defenses with missile strikes.

Asked by RT to comment on the potential expansion of the war, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said
‘The responsibility rests exclusively with the United States.’ He went on to urge regional powers to prevent the US from using their territory and facilities to attack Iran, saying that Tehran’s retaliatory strikes were in self-defense.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry called the renewed US strikes a gross violation of the ceasefire memorandum, vowing its armed forces would defend the country’s territorial integrity and national security. Let readers know what you think

It’s bad enough the US v Iran, but with the magazine of missiles running low, and if ground troops enter Iran, I think that will be the moment, if they’re smart, that Russia,China and North Korea hit Europe, Taiwan and East Asia. No way the US can fight in three places at once, and the shock of US having “pacific WW2” style casualties in Iran, carriers getting hit, etc. it will bend peoples minds.
IDK if the whole “war” is real or staged for elites plans for the masses, based on mainly the BRICS parties pulling punches that greatly hurt their position in these conflicts. For example, a shockingly large number of air refuelers parked at Ben Gurion airport, and Russia has held back from making the SMO an actual war.
Now some have said maybe Iran wants to keep Israel quiet for now, but some have also said Israel is standing pat cause they got spanked bad in the last tussel to the point theyre telling the US they cant park so many refuelers there. Most fighters need at least one refeuling to hit Iran, so if you take a large number of them out, you have to face far fewer planes shooting whats left of their jassams and other stand off munitions. Same with Russia and hitting places making drones, logistics and other hubs that the troops in Ukraine rely on. Even something like hitting recruiting stations would help reduce troops numbers and win favor with the local ppl there who detest the press gangs sending ppl to a quick slaughter, not a glorious victory.

If the price of oil reaches that level and stays there for an extended period of time, a major global economic downturn is essentially guaranteed.
The good news is that the price of oil is not anywhere near that level yet.

We have been repeatedly told that a peace deal with Iran is “imminent”, we have been repeatedly told that fighting in the Middle East will end, and we have been repeatedly told that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened. None of those things are true. If you doubt this, just consider the facts that I have laid out in this article. Instead of winding down, it appears that the Great Middle East War is about to go to an entirely new level.
In the past 72 hours, at least 3 commercial vessels have been attacked in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz.
If the Iranians really wanted peace, why would they be doing that?
Meanwhile, the Houthis have been attacking commercial vessels in the Red Sea.
On Tuesday, a Houthi drone actually sunk one of those commercial vessels…
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) organization reported that a vessel in the Bab al-Mandab Strait was sunk on Tuesday during a drone attack.
“The vessel was attacked by an Uncrewed Surface Vessel which caused a fire onboard. The crew have been rescued by local authorities and are safe and well,” UKMTO said on Wednesday.
The ship sank off the coast of Al Mukha, Yemen. The UKMTO did not identify who carried out the attack or disclose the sunken vessel’s origin.
The Houthis, the Iran-backed terrorist group in Yemen, have been striking Saudi oil tankers up and down the Red Sea for the past two weeks.
Also on Tuesday, the Houthis announced that they had successfully struck a Saudi oil tanker using ballistic missiles…
The Saudis have been diverting most of their oil through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait while the Strait of Hormuz has been closed, but now they aren’t going to be able to do that.
And each time a Saudi tanker gets put out of commission, the Saudis are going to become even more frustrated.

The attack appears to coincide with a tanker that reported hearing a “loud explosion in proximity to the vessel” to the U.K. Maritime Operations Centre. The UKMTO, a U.K. navy maritime security organization, fields reports of incidents from commercial vessels.
What a nightmare this is for the Saudis, and it isn’t going to end any time soon.

The parties have agreed on the main points of the draft—which would set up an inbound lane near Iran and an outbound lane near Oman—and have shared it with the U.S., countries in the region and Iran’s top leaders, who still needed to sign off, they said.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei told reporters Iran had reached an agreement with Oman to create a safe route through the Strait of Hormuz and that an outline of the main points was being completed.
A deal could still fall apart or fail to open the strait. Kazem Gharibabadi, deputy Iranian foreign minister, said the agreement with Oman wouldn’t necessarily open the waterway unless the U.S. met unspecified conditions, state media reported.

Reopening the Strait of Hormuz depends on the United States taking concrete steps to fulfill its commitments, the IRGC-affiliated Fars News reported, citing a source close to Iran’s negotiating team.
The source said Washington disrupted the normalization of shipping by violating the Islamabad memorandum, carrying out military attacks, imposing a naval blockade and revoking waivers for Iranian oil and petrochemical exports.
The source added that even if an Iran-Oman understanding is finalized, reopening the strait would require separate arrangements that include implementation of US commitments.

The problem is that the Trump administration will never agree to all of the demands that Iran is making…
