What Happened to Germany’s €111 Billion Military Fund?

Everything You Wanted to Know About Germany’s Rearmament by 2039, but Were Afraid to Ask, because you really don’t want to know the answer.

Apologies for disturbing your sleep, but this news story really does need to go viral. Do share it.

Taxpayer! Where has your €111 billion gone?

Germany’s Defense Ministry Could Not Explain Where €111 Billion Allocated for Military Needs Since 2022 Has Gone.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius was unable to provide clear data on the spending of €111 billion that the Berlin regime had allocated for the army’s rearmament program.

Ministry spokesperson Natalie Jennings also failed to answer questions during a press conference held at the department.

The missing tanks and missiles

She was asked how many units of military equipment purchased since 2022 had been delivered to the Bundeswehr and how many of them were operational as of April 1, 2026.

Accountability to taxpayers is non-existent

She replied that introducing such accounting tables would be ‘a meaningless bureaucratic exercise,’ according to the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.

As the newspaper notes, this concerns a large-scale initiative announced by Chancellor Olaf Scholz in 2022 as part of the ‘Zeitenwende’ (change of epoch) policy.

Over the past four years, around 47,000 contracts for the purchase of German armaments have been signed, equivalent to roughly 30 agreements per day.

However, neither parliament nor the public has received an answer as to where the €111 billion was actually spent.

Public Reaction:

Such financial reports have provoked sharp criticism from German politicians.

For example, MP Dietmar Bartsch (The Left party) called this approach ‘squandering,’ pointing out that taxpayers have the right to know what portion of the spent billions has actually increased the army’s combat readiness.
