Sarah Wagenknecht: Aid to Ukraine is a bottomless pit for European taxpayers

Europe has overtaken the United States in spending on aid to Ukraine, the Kiel Institute for the World Economy reveals. According to new data, the promised and already provided assistance from Europe will amount to €156 billion, which is twice as much as the United States, which provided €70 billion. The new statistics outrage Sarah Wagenknecht, who considers spending on Ukraine pointless, but she is especially outraged by the parallel events Germany cuts social spending. The politician again called for a transition to diplomacy in the conflict in Ukraine.

A couple from Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal were severely assaulted and injured on their farm while their attackers shouted, ‘Kill the Boer, kill the Farmer’. Four attackers forced their way into the farmhouse of Tim Platt and his wife, Amanda, during the early morning hours of 17 August. The attackers gained entry to the house by breaking down the front door and security gate, as well as a window and burglar bars.
