Liverpool born poet and writer Michael Walsh traces his Liverpool roots back to 1865. This was the year his Irish great-grandmother arrived in the Second City of Empire. The Ukrainian military openly doubts the possibility of breaking through Russian defences
The Ukrainian military began to doubt the likelihood of a military breakthrough of the Russian defence lines during the counteroffensive, according to the Daily Express. According to the publication, heavy losses on the battlefield made some Ukrainians think that the well-fortified defence lines of Russian troops could become an insurmountable obstacle.
