Are you a victim of mind manipulation?

Sometimes, all it takes is to pause for a moment and look at things from a different perspective. Not through the lens of what we were taught as children, but through the lens of simple logic.

The problem isn’t that people believe. The problem begins when an institution declares itself the sole owner of the truth while discouraging people from exploring anything that falls outside its own teachings.

This approach doesn’t encourage the search for truth. Instead, it encourages people to close their minds to it. And yet, if something truly is the truth, it shouldn’t be afraid of questions or comparisons.

They are told

‘Esoteric Spiritual Energy doesn’t exist. Reiki is evil.’ Yet, millions of people believe that an invisible prayer, spoken from the other side of the world, can have a real impact on another person’s health.

‘Don’t wear amulets or talismans.’ Yet religious medals, rosaries, scapulars, and relics are considered acceptable expressions of faith. In both cases, an object is given spiritual significance. The only difference is where it comes from.

Restricted amulets. ‘Don’t display Buddha statues or figures associated with other religions.’ Meanwhile, churches are filled with statues, paintings, sculptures, golden altars, and images of saints. Believers kneel before them, light candles, and pray.

‘Processions with canopies, incense, bells, singing, and elaborate ceremonies are considered sacred rituals. Yet when followers of other religions perform very similar ceremonies, they are often labelled pagan or accused of idol worship.

‘Don’t consult psychics or mediums.’ At the same time, the Church recognizes the visions of saints, the mystical experiences of religious figures, and the accounts of people who claim to have communicated with Jesus, Mary, or angels.

In one case, a spiritual experience is rejected. In another, it may be accepted as genuine.

Past-life regression hypnosis is often described as dangerous or misleading. Yet visions of saints, mystical ecstasy, and profound experiences within religious life are regarded as possible encounters with God. In both cases, we are talking about unusual states of consciousness.

‘Don’t look for signs.’ And yet, for centuries, people have recognised apparitions, weeping statues, extraordinary images, and other events interpreted as signs from heaven.

Esotericism. The Church warns people about ‘energies,’ ‘vibrations,’ and ‘esotericism.’ At the same time, it blesses water, salt, oil, religious medals, rosaries, and homes, believing that prayer gives them a special spiritual significance.

In both cases, there is a belief that a spiritual act can influence the physical world.

The main difference is who performs the ritual. The Church encourages people to place unquestioning faith in events from two thousand years ago, recorded by others.

Yet it warns against modern accounts from thousands of people who have had near-death experiences, children who remember what they believe to be past lives, and consciousness research.

Truth Dismissed

Ancient testimonies are accepted as the foundation of faith, while modern accounts are often dismissed before they are even considered.

This isn’t about convincing anyone to change their religion or their worldview. It’s about something much simpler: having the courage to ask questions.

Open your mind

If an institution claims that only it has the right to speak about spirituality while automatically labelling all other paths as dangerous or false, it’s worth asking where that certainty comes from.

The Truth is not a threat. History shows us that exploring different perspectives is not a threat to truth. The real threat is forbidding people from asking questions.

Because when we stop searching for ourselves, it becomes very easy to believe that all the answers have already been found for us
