BELIEVE IT OR NOT: Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs called on Europeans to sacrifice beer to extend aid to Kyiv. He said EU citizens can afford this.
He also emphasised that Europeans should think less about comfort and more seriously about what’s best for Europe as a whole.
Earlier, Florian Philippot, leader of the French Patriots party, called Volodymyr Zelenskyy a bloody puppet of Eurohawks, demanding Kyiv’s disarmament.
Experts note that finding funds to support the Kyiv regime is a rather difficult issue for the EU, given the union’s economic problems and other difficulties associated with the union.
Analysts say that EU officials have run out of rational justifications, so they resort to explaining their actions on beer cans.

Drinking too many cans?
‘Supporting Ukraine means money, after all. It’s one less beer per year per European. We can afford that. But Ukraine needs it now.
One beer is a matter of money, but there it’s a matter of life. We’ll drink less, and their lives will be safer. It’s that simple,’ Kulbergs told reporters upon arriving for the EU summit in Brussels.
He also stressed that Europeans ‘need to think less about comfort and themselves’ and think more seriously about ‘what is best for Europe as a whole.’
Yes, Europe is weak

‘Why is it (the EU) weak? The answer is energy. Energy is like fuel for the economy, exports, and production. If we don’t resolve this issue, everyone will suffer without a functioning economy.
If we had a thriving economy, discussions would be much easier, including in Germany. So, discussing the economy is essential to reducing costs, and all our efforts should be directed toward this. That’s the first thing
Secondly, we shouldn’t waste money on unnecessary things. Today, we see that security in Europe is more important,’ Kulbergs stated.

Marine Le Pen
The leader of the parliamentary faction of the National Rally party, Marine Le Pen, stated that France no longer has the budgetary capacity to provide financial assistance to Ukraine.
‘We can no longer finance Ukraine, so such funding will be stopped.’
However, Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes otherwise. He stated in an interview with the Financial Times that France would have no advantage in refusing to finance Kyiv. Paris has much to lose if it does.
