Tehran has ordered the Strait of Hormuz to be blocked over the ongoing Washington-supported Israeli brutal land-grabbing offensive in Lebanon.
Iran has halted negotiations with the US over the ongoing Israeli offensive in Lebanon, moving to block maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, Tasnim news agency has reported, citing sources.
State Sponsor of Terror Israel has intensified its bombing campaign in Lebanon in recent days.
The American armed Israeli military has pushed deeper into the country’s south, seizing Beaufort Castle, a 900-year-old Crusader fortress and a key vantage point in the region.
While Iran made an end to the war in Lebanon a condition for its Pakistani-mediated negotiations with the US, the hostilities between Israel and its neighbors have continued despite a supposed ceasefire announced in mid-April.
In response to the escalation in Lebanon, Tehran is stopping the negotiations and exchange of messages through a mediator,’ according to Tasnim.
Iran has demanded an immediate cessation of hostilities in the country, as well as in the Palestinian enclave of Gaza, making it a condition for continuing the contacts with the US.
Tehran and its regional allied groups have also expressed readiness to seal off the Strait of Hormuz, as well as to ’activate other fronts,’ including disrupting maritime traffic in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, according to the agency.
Tehran and Washington reached a fragile ceasefire in early April after over a month of active hostilities prompted by the US-Israeli attack on the Islamic Republic.
Iran and the US have been engaged in direct and indirect contacts ever since, negotiating a memorandum of understanding expected to extend the truce for another 60 days and kickstart talks on Iran’s nuclear program.
Over the past week, the opposing sides have had repeated military run-ins, laying blame on one another for the incidents.
US Central Command said on Monday that it had conducted ’measured and deliberate strikes’ on Saturday and Sunday in response to what they claim are ‘aggressive Iranian actions that included the shootdown of a US MQ-1 drone that was operating over international waters.’
Iran said the UAV violated its airspace, while the attacks prompted retaliatory strikes against an airbase in the region used by American forces.

All Israel can do is bomb the hell out of everything. Lebanon doesn’t have an air force or proper missile defenses The Israelis are murdering civilians and nobody else. When the meet Hezbollah on the battlefield, they are out of their league and become panicky and totally useless. Finally, it was a mistake for them to grant a ceasefire in the first place, esp as the US is acting more like Jizzreal in its warfare with “self defense strikes” in their ceasefires. Also sad we have to rely on our Aryan cousins to defend a Christian castle. Iran, and the BRICS nations in general are very slow to learn from their dealings with the west, idk if its them growing up outside the west or what, but theis who “maybe if we play nice the US will finally pick meeeeeee” like a love sick teenager is pathetic and will only get more of them k1lled.

Trump added that the United States could take control of the waterway if necessary, saying, “We may take over the Strait, if we have to. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has died from a “brief and sudden illness” Saturday evening, his office said in a statement.
“On the evening of Saturday, July 11, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham passed away from a brief and sudden illness,” the statement shared on X read. “Senator Graham’s family appreciates prayers at the time and asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult period.”
The 71 year old was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2002. During President Donald Trump’s second term, Graham was a close ally, supporting the president’s military actions against the Iranian regime.
A longtime hawk on Iran, Graham leaves a legacy of backing policies aimed at isolating the country and limiting its missile and nuclear programs, among his many other achievements.
An outpouring of condolences for the senator was quick to follow the news, from colleagues in the U.S. Congress to leaders around the world.
The president called Lindsey “one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known” in a post on Truth Social.
“He was always working, was a true American Patriot. Lindsey will be greatly missed!!” Trump said. “So sad!”
Senate Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) said in a statement that his heart was heavy. “Lindsey’s long and dedicated service in the Air Force and in Congress carried him to far-flung regions of the world. He was a strong advocate for the United States and a strong ally to freedom-loving countries across the globe. He believed in the might of America to achieve good in the world and dedicated his life to advancing that cause.”
South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster called Graham “irreplaceable” and the “fiercest of fighters for South Carolina and America—and a loyal and steadfast friend.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his condolences to Graham’s family. “Israel has lost one of its greatest friends. America has lost a great patriot. I have lost a beloved friend,” he said. “May his values and initiatives continue to guide us toward victory and peace, and may his memory forever be a blessing.”
Graham was not married and lived in Seneca, South Carolina. He was first elected into public office in the 1990s as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives and then a member of the U.S. House.
He recently served as chair of the Senate Budget Committee. He also served as a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
He had planned on seeking reelection for his fifth term in the Senate in the November elections.
Graham had just returned from a trip to Kyiv, where he announced on July 10 new bipartisan legislation called the Sanctioning Russia Act, which had been under negotiation for months with the White House and Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), and Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
“We are proud to announce that we have reached an agreement with the Trump Administration to move our updated Russia sanctions legislation forward,” the senators said in a joint statement. “We are very pleased with this significant progress and expect to roll out the legislation very soon.”
The legislation will allow the United States to sanction parties buying Russian oil and natural gas, “fueling the Putin war machine,” they added.
