DAMNED BY TOO MUCH CARING

DAMNED BY TOO MUCH CARING

.

Damned by too much caring

Damned by too much love,

It’s hard to be at peace with self,

When care reigns high above.

.

Above all other feelings,

You love and care too much,

It’s painful when your love is knife

That cuts with every touch.

.

When eyes are in your hurting heart,

Your feelings in your ears,

It’s then you feel the pangs of pain,

Which often end in tears.

.

Tears are words sometimes unsaid,

Sad sighs are feelings felt,

Pillow hugs are plasters for

The pain, the bruise and welt.

.

It’s always hard to hide the pain,

When love and care have fled,

Remorseful souls are weighty when,

The unkind words are said.

.
