When Your Past Life Pays You a Visit

REINCARNATION: The following is a true story. In the summer of 1918, a general of the Austrian Imperial Army commanded a Division on the Italian Front. He began walking towards the front line.

WWI wouldn’t end for another five months. So, approaching the battle line at this point in the war was extraordinarily dangerous, as the general’s troops warned.

Without explanation, he continued his suicide walk, undeterred. General Werner Seehofer was shot and died in an Italian military hospital.

Eighteen years later, in 1936, a four-year-old boy named Helmut from Linz, Austria, began making odd statements. He also exhibited strange behavior.

He’d enthusiastically salute any soldiers he encountered. He also refused to wear an unbuttoned coat. ‘An officer is not allowed to go with an open overcoat,’ he explained.

One afternoon, the child explained that he’d once lived as an officer in the Great War.

Perhaps this statement and his habitual saluting came from a young boy’s fascination with the military. This fascination is not entirely unusual.

But then Helmut declared, ‘When I was big, I used to live at 9 Manfred Street,’ in Linz.

He provided a specific address for another residence in Vienna. He claimed to have lived there for many years.

Helmut then gave a third street and house number of a home where he said his in-laws had lived.

Investigators interviewed the current residents of 9 Manfred Street and learned that a man named Seehofer had once lived there.

General Werner Seehofer, in fact. Helmut was still in kindergarten at the time.

He had also correctly provided the precise address for General Seehofer’s in-laws house. He provided the general’s former home address in Vienna.

Many individuals report providing specific names. They claim to have known these people in a past life. Sometimes even offering the name of their previous identity.

Helmut’s case is the first encountered in which the subject provided specific street addresses (and in two different cities!).

This occurred in 1935, before cell phones, search engines, and Google Maps. This timing makes Helmut’s identification of General Seehofer’s former residences even more remarkable.

  1. Thank you, Mike ! I do believe these stories refer to reincarnation !As you say, the fact that memories of past life disappear as time passes, do you believe possible that the soul of a young dying navy soldier – stranger to the  country is in at this time,  – could reincarnate in a baby’s body, being born, nearby ? If that makes sense to you, I could testify that is what I believe, happened to me, from memories I ‘received’ in my teens… I loved the sea and wearing the typical navy top outfit, despite being a girl !What has never left me, is the importance in my life of truth and loyalty !
