The police, in the United Kingdom especially, notoriously and viciously crackdown on what they ~ not the law consider illegal. Recently, the world was horrified to see several burly cops manhandling a 92-year old man for protesting against a court decision without his having permission from the police.

Yet, a marauding gang of economic migrants being housed at a former army barracks in Wales were allowed to leave their camp on Thursday afternoon, January 14, and march into the nearest town without police intervention in clear violation of the draconian lockdown rules.

Around 40 men, mostly Africans, housed at the Penally Camp in South Wales marched the two miles into Tenby chanting ‘We are civilians,’ and displaying pieces of cardboard asking: ‘Where is human rights (sic)’and ‘No more prison’.

The protest was the second in 24 hours after a group of around 50 asylum-seekers marched to Tenby on Wednesday night with similar demands.

The migrants, many of whom entered Britain illegally, have previously set fire to bedding and repeatedly and deliberately blocked the toilets with face masks. Nothing was done about these criminal acts. Why are illegal migrants above the law? Residents of the sleepy village of Penally have previously described their fear at the arrival these angry newcomers.

Clearly if the migrants are allowed free passage in and out of the Camp they are not being detained and the Camp is not a prison, despite their protestations.

Secondly as news spreads from around the country that Police forces are handing out fines to people who sit on park benches, walkers drinking coffee and even stopping joggers why were these recent arrivals to our shores not dealt with in the same heavy-handed manner by Welsh Police?

We know the response of the Police should any of the Tenby residents currently forced by the Welsh Assembly to stay in their own homes dare venture outside to protest against the presence of these illegal migrants. It will end in arrest and fines being handed out just as the Met arrested a 92 year old outside Westminster Magistrates’ Court the previous week.
