The Popemobile in Spain This Week

Multiple Spanish outlets have confirmed that the Popemobile for Pope Leo XIV’s visit (6–12 June 2026) has already arrived in the country:

It was flown into Spain aboard a military transport aircraft under tight security.  The vehicle first arrived at Torrejón Airbase near Madrid, ahead of the Pope’s arrival.

A similar operation took place in Barcelona, where the Popemobile was delivered to El Prat Airport for the Catalonia leg of the visit.

Video footage shows the white, specially adapted Mercedes Popemobile being unloaded in Madrid.

The Pope will use it during events in Madrid, Barcelona, and the Canary Islands, including open‑air Masses and public processions.
