US Designates European Antifa Groups as Terrorists

The State Department has specified the organisations designated as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs). These include Antifa Ost in Germany and the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front in Italy. Additionally, two Greece-based groups, Armed Proletarian Justice and Revolutionary Class Self-Defense, are included.

When the German armed forces invaded the USSR on June 22, 1941, Berlin described the offensive as pre-emptive in the face of imminent Soviet aggression. The claim was generally dismissed as Nazi propaganda. Recently disclosed evidence from Soviet sources, however, suggests that Moscow’s foreign policy was not governed by neutrality when Europe went to war in 1939.

Monument Tribute to Victims of the Soviet Gulag Vandalized

In the Perm Territory of post-Soviet Russia, unknown saboteurs demolished a memorial in memory of Lithuanians and Poles exiled here for slavery during the period of Soviet political repressions. The monument was erected seven years ago at the cemetery of the abandoned special settlement of Galyashor and did not have official status. The burial ground was looked after by residents of the neighbouring village, descendants of the repressed and human rights activists.
