In 1984, Muammar Gaddafi’s government began construction on the Great Man-Made River. It was the largest underground network of pipes and aqueducts in the world.

It was designed to pump fossil water from the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer System deep beneath the Sahara Desert to the coastal cities of Libya.

Funded entirely by Libya

It cost $25 billion. It was funded entirely without foreign loans. It provided 70% of all freshwater used in Libya for drinking and agriculture.

The Eighth Wonder of the World

Gaddafi called it the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World.’ In July 2011, during the NATO-led intervention, NATO forces bombed the Brega plant. The Brega plant was the factory that manufactured the massive concrete pipes required to repair and maintain the water system.

NATO heads and the political cults of the fake democracies falsely claimed the facility was being used as a military storage site.

Total Destruction

Days later, the water supply network itself was struck. The destruction of the pipe factory ensured that the damage to the water grid could not be repaired by the Libyan people.

A civilian infrastructure project that took 27 years to build and brought water to millions in the desert was effectively crippled in a matter of days. Today, Libya faces a severe, ongoing water crisis.

They bombed the water grid and the factory that made the replacement pipes. A $25 billion civilian project, crippled.

Meantime, the Libyan navy was patrolling the Mediterranean effectively saving Europe from an invasion of third World migrants. By destroying the Libyan navy, NATO effectively open the doors of Europe to millions of migrants.  Let readers know what you think
