The Life and Death of a Fighter for White Rights ~ Horrifying Video

Eugène Terre’ Blanche was a South African Afrikaner nationalist and activist for White rights in the Republic of South Africa as it transitioned from White to Black rule.

The champion of White Rights in the South African Republic, the outspoken Boer farmer was best known as the founder and longtime leader of the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB).

The organisation was a pro-White paramilitary and political movement.

Born 31 January 1941 in Ventersdorp, Transvaal, Eugène Terre’ Blanche founded the AWB in 1973, positioning it as a militant defender of white minority rule.

Previously serving as a South African Police officer, Eugène Terre’ Blanche was involved with the Herstigte Nasionale Party before forming the AWB.

The fervent defender of White rights, detested by liberal anti-White mainstream media journalists, became a prominent figure in the right‑wing backlash against the end of apartheid.

His ideology blended Afrikaner nationalism, white rights, and a quasi‑religious sense of racial destiny.

The AWB adopted White nationalist inspired symbols and paramilitary tactics.

Terre’ Blanche and the AWB were involved in several high‑profile confrontations:

•       1991 Battle of Ventersdorp, violent clashes with police during protests against President F.W. de Klerk.

•       1993 World Trade Centre incident, AWB members drove a vehicle through the building during constitutional negotiations.

•       1994 Bophuthatswana intervention, AWB fighters attempted to support a collapsing homeland government; several AWB members were killed.

He became a symbolic figure for a vocal minority resisting the dismantling of apartheid.

Terre’ Blanche was convicted of attempted murder in 2001 for assaulting a Black security guard and served three years in prison before his release in 2004.

He was slain on 3 April 2010 at age 69 on his farm near Ventersdorp.

In a kangaroo ‘trial’, two Black farm workers were charged. The police described the incident as a dispute over unpaid wages. His death sparked national tension, though South African leaders urged calm.

To many South African and international defenders of White Rights, Eugène Terre’ Blanche is remembered as a defender of their cultural identity.

To most South Africans and observers worldwide, he is associated with extremism, racial violence, and neo‑National socialism.

His ideas continue to circulate in fringe white supremacist circles, though the AWB today is a marginal force.
