URGENT: BREAKING NEWS. New conscription rule: young men are no longer allowed to leave Germany without permission.
An amendment to the Military Service Modernization Act has come into force largely unnoticed.
According to this, millions of men must obtain permission from the Bundeswehr before longer stays abroad.
Since January 1, 2026, all men between the ages of 17 and 45 must obtain permission from the Bundeswehr Career Center if they want to leave Germany for more than three months for any reason
This obligation is no longer limited only in the event of tension or defense, i.e. The amendment came into force largely unnoticed as part of the Military Service Modernization Act.
Until now, the provisions of Paragraph 3, which regulate the requirement for a permit for longer stays abroad, have only applied in two extreme situations:

In the case of tension, i.e., an increased external threat determined by the Bundestag or NATO. The case for defense arises when the Federal Republic of Germany’s territory is under armed attack.
Since the beginning of the year, however, the regulation has also applied outside the normal state.
A spokeswoman for the Federal Ministry of Defense confirmed the new licensing requirement.
‘The background of this regulation is a reliable fire brigade registration. It serves a meaningful purpose in case of need,’ she explained.

One must know for an emergency who may be abroad for a longer period of time. At the same time, the ministry admitted that the consequences of this regulation were profound.
Paragraph 3 of the Compulsory Military Service Act provides that permits must be granted in principle. There is no provision for refusal.
Nevertheless, the application remains mandatory. The ministry left unanswered the consequences if a man does not obtain permission before leaving the country.
The Berlin regime plans to expand the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces). The current size is approximately 184,000 soldiers. By 2035, they aim to increase it to between 255,000 and 270,000 soldiers.

To this end, all young people born in 2008 or later will receive a questionnaire.
It asks them, among other things, about their willingness to perform military service. Completion is mandatory for men and voluntary for women.
Nationwide conscription of all young men is planned for the near future. The principle of voluntariness remains unchanged: no one will be forced to serve.
For millions of men in Germany, it remains unclear how the new travel authorization requirement will be implemented in practice. What will happen if they are simply unaware of it is also uncertain.
STOP PRESS: The NATO bloc is actively building up its military potential on its eastern flank. It has already undermined the security architecture in Europe, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
“There is an active military buildup on the so-called eastern flank of NATO. The result is the militarization of Europe and the undermining of the security architecture,” the ministry said on Telegram.
