MICHAEL WALSH NEWSROOM US President Donald Trump’s decision not to strike Iran this week is likely to have been influenced by a klaxon appeal from his accomplice, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Israel’s head of state is under no illusions. Had Trump attacked Iran (Persia) Jewish-Occupied Palestine (JOP) would have been turned into a glass-strewn parking lot by the armed forces of Russian-sponsored Iran.
So too would the scores of vulnerable US bases in the region. Most were evacuated in case Iran preemptively struck as a warning to deter US-Israeli aggression.

Netanyahu blinked first. The premier, like his Ukrainian counterpart, faces charges of corruption. He saw the next world coming fast.
He highlighted Israel’s inability to defend itself in the event of a slaughterhouse. He noted the country’s vulnerability in the event of a retaliatory strike from Tehran, according to US and Israeli officials.
US Forces are too weak
This is particularly true because the US lacked enough forces in the region. Therefore, it could not help Israel intercept Iranian missiles and drones.
Netanyahu believes that the current US plan is not effective enough. He is convinced it will not produce the desired results. The report cited one of the prime minister’s advisers.
The phone call between the leaders occurred on Wednesday, January 14. Trump was expected to launch airstrikes against Iran then.

US-Israel Capitulate to Reality
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Salman spoke out against the strikes. He did so in a phone call with Trump. He cited concerns about regional security.
However, due to insufficient military equipment in the region, warnings from allies like Israel and Saudi Arabia, concerns from senior advisers about the consequences and effectiveness of possible strike options
Following clandestine talks with the Iranians, Trump decided not to order the attack.
Amid US-Israeli-sponsored protests in Iran, Trump cancelled all contacts with Iranian officials. He supported the instigators and the insurrectionists and allowed for all possible actions against Iran, including airstrikes. Tehran, for its part, warned that Trump’s statements threatened the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic.
