Astronomers Discover Blinking Radio Wave Source in Space

REAL SCIENCE: Astronomers have discovered a surprising cosmic phenomenon that remains unexplained.

An object called ASKAP J1448-6856 emits radio waves with a period of 1.5 hours, creating a ‘blinking’ effect in space.

NASA announced the discovery, confirming its ‘unknown nature’ and ‘non-existent physical form,’ ECOticias reports.

ASKAP J1448-6856 was discovered using the Australian telescope ‘Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder’.

The object has unique radiation properties that have not been seen in any other celestial body before. Its flares have a complex polarization (from 35% to 100%) and a harmonic structure that changes with each cycle.

The mysterious object emits signals every hour and a half. It has no physical form. NASA confirmed that its nature is still unknown.

Astronomers say the discovery provides new insight into rare energy sources with extremely strong magnetic fields. These fields emit signals over a period of minutes or hours.

Unlike planets, stars, or even pulsars, ASKAP J1448-6856 has no physical envelope.

It is a pure form of energy that exists as a radio circuit rather than a material body. It can be compared to a ‘wave node’ that exists only in radiation.

Scientists speculate that the source is a neutron star with an extremely strong magnetic field. However, neither hypothesis has yet been confirmed, and the origin of these radio signals remains the subject of active research.
