AGE CONCERN: One thing you didn’t understand when you were youthful. You didn’t realize that as you age, your mind will stay young. Your spirit will also stay youthful.

You feel young inside, but your ageless spirit looks at the world through aging shell.

Eternal Youth: Inside, we feel the same as always. We have more or less the same hopes and dreams, wants and needs we had when we were young. We stay young on the inside. It’s just a body getting old and capricious.

The longer you live, the sooner your body will die, but your spirit lives on.

And as we physically grow older, we feel we become less important and insignificant. We realize that most of our lives are behind us and less is left.

I once asked an old man. What is it like to be old? What is it like to know that most of your life has been lived?

He replied to me. He said that he had been the same age all his life. He also mentioned that the voice in his head had not aged.

He has always been the same boy, his mother’s son. He was wondering what it would be like when he grows up and is an old man.

He claimed that he watched his body aging, but the person in it never got tired. Never gets old. Nothing has changed.

Our spirit is eternal. Our souls are eternal. Next time you meet an old person, look at them. Know that they are still a child. You are still a child too. Children will always need love, attention, and purpose.
