WHO SPEAKS FOR US NOW?

In my long and eventful life, I have never before experienced such a gulf between the electorate’s instincts and the establishment’s policies.

Without question, some dictatorships are more popular and representative than many of our European Union’s ‘democratically elected’ politicians (managed democracy).

The Guardian’s in-depth analysis of New Europe reveals several disturbing facts. Only 6 per cent of the European Union’s electorate say they have a great deal of trust in their government.

46 percent say they have little trust whilst a third say they have no trust at all in their political elite.

SMUG DICTATORS

Less than one in ten (9%) think their politicians act with honesty and integrity. That is damning. I would put money on Libya’s President Gaddafi having more claims to popularity than those seeking to overthrow him.

The Daily Mail is a conservative newspaper with a small ‘c’. Most of their readership considers themselves of charitable outlook. One would therefore expect the Conservative-Liberal Coalition government to be broadly reflective of their instincts.

Not so. Anyone familiar with that newspaper and others will find its readership driven to distraction by preening smug dictators strutting in and out of ministerial office.

SWINDLERS AND IMPOSTORS

Former BBC Director-General, Greg Dyke revealed in his autobiography: “When it came to discussing the war in Iraq staff found it so difficult to find any member of the public prepared to speak in favour that they ended up planting people in the (Question Time) audience.” Is the war in Libya or Afghanistan any different?

On issues as diverse as crime and punishment, foreign policy, immigration, social services; banking and electoral reform, these swindling impostors are as far removed from the voters as it is possible to be.

Do they care? No! Once elected these rogues are contemptuous of their electorate. They have more faces than a town hall clock.

They are well aware that their voting public despises them; most of us would prefer washing sheets in a brothel to being in their company.

TIME FOR REGIME CHANGE

Sadly, nothing dents their conceited arrogance. These play-pen statesmen are notorious for making a mess of things.

Then, to add insult to injury they have the balls to invite votes to enable them to put things right again. Yes, they create a problem; stand on a ticket of putting it right and are voted in to do so. You don’t get better job security than that.

A man who should know writes: “We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the world.

No longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of the majority; but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men.”

Those words were penned by U.S. President Woodrow Wilson (1913 – 1921). Still hoping for change? Depressing, isn’t it?

Yes, it is time for regime change; the introduction of democracy and accountability but like charity, home is more deserving. This is an issue far more pressing than oil grabs.

QUOTE OF THE DAY EU A DICTATORSHIP ‘In many countries the majority of people don’t go and cast their vote. So, I am asking you, how is this democracy then? Shortly, though, we’ll face a truly grave problem.

Politicians will have disappointed people so much with their lying and stealing that the only ones to turn up for elections will be the candidates themselves.’ ~ Lech Walesa, Former Polish President. Born 1943. STORIES THAT REALLY NEED TO BE TOLD BY SHARING

  1. “Woodrow Wilson (1913 – 1921). Still hoping for change? Depressing, isn’t it?”

Reminds me of the definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting something different. Example: Voting.
