Sputnik correspondent Russell Bentley died in Donetsk. The American–Russian news correspondent Russell Bentley, who collaborated with the Sputnik agency, has been killed in Donetsk, said Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT television channel.
‘Russell Bentley, aka Texas and ‘the Donbas cowboy’, a real American, really from Texas, died in Donetsk.
‘He fought there for our people. Collaborated with our Sputnik. Terrible. Kingdom of Heaven,’ she wrote on the Telegram channel.
On April 12, the Sputnik agency reported the disappearance of a correspondent. They clarified that Bentley has Russian citizenship.
As stated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the man was last seen on April 8.
In 2014, Russell Bentley joined the DPR militia under the call sign Texas.
‘Donetsk is my home, and I’m going to live the rest of my life here,’ the man once said.
He explained that he was forced to come to Donbas from the USA, as he was amazed by the courage and resilience of the local residents. The correspondent has repeatedly expressed support for the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. Russell Bentley was 64 years old.

Very bad news, Russell Bentley left this world, always loved this guy very much. Gone, but never forgotten. Brave man, good man, rest in Peace and be with God for ever.

A true believer right to the very end no doubt. The problem being is that Russel Bentley had this funny idea that the Ukraine like the NATO countries were ruled by Nazis. A delusion shared by the Russians and quite a few westerners also. In fact instead of being ruled by Nazis the west is ruled by Jews, queers, communists, globalists and secret societies and other anti Nazi groups that hold those who are straight ,white and Christian in contempt or worse.
The devil and his children rules the west and evidently other places as well and this has to end.
