Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Ukrainian crisis is not a territorial conflict. We are talking about the basic principles of a new world order.
‘The Ukrainian crisis is not a territorial conflict. I want to emphasize this. Russia is the largest country in the world, the largest country in terms of territory,’ Putin said at a plenary meeting of the Valdai Club on Thursday in Sochi.

He noted at the same time: ‘We have no interests in terms of conquering any additional territories. We still have to develop and develop Siberia, Eastern Siberia, the Far East. This is not a territorial conflict or even the establishment of a regional geopolitical balance.’
According to the president, ‘the issue is much broader and more fundamental. We are talking about the principles on which the new world order will be based,’ Putin.

The President of Russia is reminding us of the history of the nation over which he presides.
My intuition has served me correctly ,as he so well stated in the last statement ,referring to the Yeltsin years .
