Black looters, using the excuse of the incarceration of former President Jacob Zuma, are laying a trail of violence, arson, assault and damage across KwaZulu Natal, the traditional home of the Zulu people.

In collapsing Black South Africa Black lives never mattered and the lives of Ethnic-Europeans matter even less. One looks in vain for the British news teams and camera crews who during the prosperous centuries before Wall Street transferred management to Blacks helped bring in corrupt Black rule.

Today, armed volunteers mount barricades at village entrances while youngsters on trail bikes scout through the perimeter cane fields. There is no food or fuel and the chat groups buzz with an incessant flood of posts about destroyed buildings, burnt cars and roaming mobs. The State’s presence is entirely absent. For the first time, ordinary South Africans, bomb-proofed through decades of tumult, appear afraid for the future.

The immediate spark for the conflagration was when, on 29 June this year, former President Jacob Zuma was ordered to serve 15 months in prison for refusing to appear before his own Commission of Inquiry into State Capture to investigate allegations of widespread corruption.

The response from political and criminal forces, some being leaders in the ruling African National Congress, was swift. Under the banner of Radical Economic Transformation (violent appropriation of wealth) it is a more sophisticated form of looting than the one currently on our television screens.

Under the guise of redistributive economic programmes, the ANC ushered in the policy of Black Economic Empowerment. It turned into a one-way flow of money extorted with state sanction from private or public purses into the hands of a monstrously avaricious new elite. To gain control of the state, the ANC followed a policy of cadre deployment of party faithful to occupy every level of government. Unable to manage its own party local government, they had no hope of managing a modern state. Everywhere there was dysfunction, collapse and corruption.

The amounts stolen in the so-called State Capture project is dwarfed by the loss of wealth, tax, opportunity and confidence caused by the twin policies of black empowerment and cadre deployment. 

The public and Western media forgot to ask the big question: how well was President Ramaphosa governing? The answer: badly, very badly. The consequence has been zero economic growth and the highest youth unemployment rate in the country’s history. No society can or will endure such casually inflicted pain.

The current escalating violence, which has, of course, nothing to do with corporate media’s disgraceful part in played in bringing about Black rule, has completely overwhelmed an already incompetent police force. Local communities are supporting recently arrived police reinforcements with food and munitions because cops arrived so unprepared.

For years the ANC-controlled province has been the site of growing insurrectionary activity: hijacking of transport on main routes, seizure of schools and universities, anti-White outbreaks, sabotage of municipal infrastructure, mafia-style blackmailing of construction companies, violent factional wars by ANC claimants to office, and wholesale corruption in public affairs.

The culprits have acted with impunity and a growing boldness foretelling today’s crisis. President Ramaphosa’s response to the growing chaos through the months has been detachment. Source
