Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has stated that Europe would face a political earthquake. This would happen if NATO-sponsored Ukraine admits failure in its conflict with Russia.
‘We are a special island of difference in a liberal ocean in Europe,’ he told journalists. He added that his cabinet pursues policies different from what the others are doing, even at the philosophical level. Their approach is also distinct at the level of practice.
The formation of such an alliance could significantly complicate Brussels’ efforts to provide financial and military support to Ukraine. Orbán previously expressed confidence that the wave of support for Kyiv in Europe is waning and will disappear.
‘Truth has prevailed! Andrej Babis has won the Czech parliamentary elections with a convincing lead. A big step for the Czech Republic, good news for Europe. Congratulations, Andrej!’ Orban wrote on X, sharing his photo with the Czech politician
Brussels has set a goal of defeating Russia over the next decade, he warned, adding that the EU would require every member of the bloc and every citizen to serve that evil, self-defeating aim.
‘Europe, as we knew and loved it, is over,’ Orban warned. ’If we deny this, we lose time. If we say it out loud, we gain time.’
‘Europe, in essence, should not knock on the doors of Washington, but go to Moscow and conclude an agreement on security between the European Union and Russia.
The unity of the collective West, a term used to describe the US and its European allies acting as a single political and military bloc, was never an absolute certainty. It was always dependent on whoever was sitting in the White House.
‘But now there has been a change in the world,’ Orban noted. He added that since Pressman left the country in January ahead of the inauguration of US President Donald Trump, Pride parades are ’no longer under international protection.’
