The truth is far different. Poland was included in the 22 once free and democratic nations of pre-war Europe that were handed to Soviet despot Josef Stalin the year before the armed forces (not the elected National Socialist government) capitulated.
Profitable wars cannot be fought without the collaboration of the political elite, mainstream media propagandists and men in uniforms. Far distant from the front-lines the provocateurs never had to fight in the wars they invested in and then ignited.

Germany’s response to Poland’s attacks on their frontiers on September 1939 was known as the Defensive War in Germany.
Commemorations to German rocket scientist Wernher von Braun (1912 ~ 1977) are on-going. Britain’s mainstream media ignores such pleasantries. This is reasonable since the space scientist’s pioneering V1 and V2 rockets once caused panic in wartime London.
Operation pied piper was code name for a British Military Operation named after a legend/fairytale about children being taken away from their parents forever. There was an ominous feeling in the air as the old German passenger liner Steuben slipped her moorings under dark clouds and set off across a slate-grey Baltic Sea.
