Many thousands of pro-Russian demonstrators gathered in front of the Bundestag in Berlin on Saturday to protest against the policy of the German authorities, they demand the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions and access to cheap energy from Russia, an RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
Across the UK, tens of thousands of people took to the streets to protest against the crisis in the cost of living, back-firing sanctions and climate change: the British expressed their disappointment with their government’s policies in these areas, reports The Independent. Simultaneously, 50,000 railroad workers went on strike across the country on Saturday.
Without Russian gas, the economic situation in Europe will quickly deteriorate. Given the NATO attacks on Nord Stream, there is no real way back. However, as The Spectator writes, ‘when Europe plunges into an economic black hole, the American economy, which is already rather weak, will follow it. Therefore, the situation with Russian gas pipelines may become the point that future historians will call the end of Western dominance.’
