Few people realise, perhaps because they have never been told, is that Hitler’s Germany never, before or during World War II, declared war on Britain or France or their overseas territories. On September 3, 1939 Britain and France disappointed their citizens by declaring war on Germany.
On May 2, 1945, the German Armed Forces – not the government had capitulated, overwhelmed by the combined forces of the Soviet Union, British Empire and industrial-military might of the United States.
Since the mid-20th century, the world has only ever heard one side of the most horrific war in human history. During the 75 years that have now passed, only a single narrative of the great conflict has been heard.

Soviet Russia is now confiscating half of our territory and wants the remaining part of Poland to be managed according to her own fashion. We know from experience where that leads.’
Of many legends woven about World War II one of the most enduring is the ‘Britain at Bay’ fiction. The story goes that in 1940 the warlike Reich invaded unprepared innocent France.
The Kremlin during the Second World War acknowledged Charles de Gaulle as the leader of the government in exile of Free France because he had helped torpedo Winston Churchill’s plan for the Western allies to liberate Central Europe, according to French historian and former head of Le Figaro Magazine Henri-Christian Giraud in his book ‘De Gaulle and the Communists’.
The European Tragedy is described as The War of the Dictators. It was, of the four main protagonists the German leader alone was democratically elected. Neither Winston Churchill nor Josef Stalin was ever elected to lead their countries. The duplicitous U.S President Franklin D. Roosevelt was narrowly elected on what was later proven to be a lie.
Winston Churchill approved millions of taxpayers’ pounds in bribes to prevent Spain’s General Franco from supporting Germany in Second World War, according to a new book. Churchill apparently convinced Spanish banker Juan March to act as a secret agent, organising payments of millions of dollars to Franco’s generals in return for Franco agreeing not to side with Hitler.
