Magawa the “hero rat,” whose work sniffing out landmines in Cambodia won him a medal for life-saving bravery, is retiring after a distinguished five-year career.The African giant pouched rat has found 71 landmines and 38 items of unexploded ordnance during his service, according to APOPO, the mine-clearing non-governmental organization that trained him. It’s good that the UK Government has pardoned thousands of Army deserters who enlisted in the British armed forces during World War II. These include 7,000 British-born Irish volunteers. Of course, no army can allow desertion.
Throughout the 1914 Russian Empire were listed 54,174 Christian churches. In addition there were 25,593 chapels, 1,025 monasteries, military churches and cemetery chapels. By 1987 only 6,893 churches and 15 monasteries remained. During the Jewish martyrdom of the Church the clergy of Western churches remained silent, media complicit, and capitalism flourished. The German Reich from 1941 ~ 1945 was the only saviour of the crucified Church and its celebrants.
An open letter initially signed by 120 retired high-ranking United States military officers warning of an imminent threat to democracy and the Constitution has now grown to 160 signatories. The signatures collected by the Flag Officers 4 America group include retired generals and admirals who have broken their silence over what they see as a ‘conflict’ between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty’ engulfing the United States. The letter mirrors an earlier one released before the 2020 elections and signed by 317 retired generals and admirals.
The Allied bombing of Dresden cast 300,000 tormented souls into a holocaust. Such was its horror and magnitude that a fake holocaust was created to justify it. Yet Dresden was only one of hundreds of European cities and towns to be cremated by the Allies. By comparison many cities fared worse: When on April 4, 1945, the City of Kassel surrendered, of a population of 250,000, just 15,000 were left alive.
