Again, leading with his double chin, US President Donald Trump threatens strikes against Iran after ordering a naval blockade and threatening to deny ’safe passage’ to any ships that comply with Tehran’s fees and rules for transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
Global oil prices jumped 8% following US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, according to current trading data.
The US president could resume a full-fledged bombing campaign, though officials told the Wall Street Journal that this is ’less likely.’
Horror at the pumps
Global oil prices surged above $100 after the US Department of War announced that US forces will begin enforcing a blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports from 10:00 AM ET (2:00 PM GMT) on April 13.
The move falls short of Trump’s original threat to block ’any and all’ ships trying to enter or leave the strait.

The peoples of the Western Alliance and beyond will need to take out a loan to fill their tanks up.
Americans should ‘enjoy’ the current prices at the pump, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned, adding that ’soon you’ll be nostalgic for $4-$5 gas.’
Iran has warned that any hostile military activity in the waterway will be met with force. President Masoud Pezeshkian has said a deal is still possible if the US abandons its ’totalitarianism.’
Another blockade to add to Trump’s increasing trade barricades

US Central Command said the blockade would apply to vessels of all nations calling at Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, but insisted that it would not impede freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz for ships travelling to and from non-Iranian ports.
Trump’s Blockades
US Central Command has announced that it will begin enforcing a blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports at 10am ET on April 13.
‘The blockade will be enforced against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman,’ CENTCOM said
The US military added that commercial mariners would receive further guidance through a formal notice before the operation begins

They advised vessels in the Gulf of Oman and near the approaches to Hormuz to monitor official maritime broadcasts and contact US naval forces on channel 16.
Any attempt by the United States to organize a naval blockade is doomed to failure, said Mohsen Rezaei, a senior military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Rezaei stressed that Iran has significant untapped capabilities to counter any threats. According to him, the American side has already suffered a historic defeat in the Strait of Hormuz, so new restrictions at sea will also prove unsuccessful. “Iran is not a place that can be contained by tweets and fictitious blockade plans,” Rezai noted.

LIFE IN THE REICH Mike Walsh: FORBIDDEN HISTORY: The standard of living in Hitler’s Third Reich surpassed that of the developed world. German workers enjoyed a lifestyle comparable to that of movie stars. Germany led the world in fashion, medicine, cinema, lifestyle, manufacturing, transport infrastructure, public facilities, cutting-edge science, healthcare and education. Amazon removed Life in the Reich. The book dared to show Hitler’s Germany as it was. It did not follow what the propagandists would have us believe. A real eye-opener: https://barnesreview.org/product/life-in-the-reich-hitlers-germany-1933-1945/
