MICHAEL WALSH REPORT.
After conceding a painful defeat, Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary, said that in opposition, he would continue with the same policies that brought his party to ruin.
An oft-heard expression is, ‘you are known by the company you keep.’
It is well known because it is true. You cannot keep the company of rogues and at the same time expect a saintly status.
A Maverick Politician

I thought well of his facing down the unelected autocrats of Brussels and his critics of the equally unelected rabble infesting the Kyiv state.
Furthermore, during a period of insane Russophobia, Orban’s friendship with Russia’s head of state, Vladimir Putin, was creditable.
Known and hated by the company you keep
Firstly, and perplexingly, Viktor Orban’s Fidesz Party has been a staunch friend and ally of the Jewish State.
I cannot recall Orban’s Hungary ever once criticizing Israel’s wholesale butchery of the peoples making up the nation of Palestine.

On the other hand, Vladimir Putin has constantly berated the Jewish state, as have the vast majority of the world’s governments.
The Hungarian people are a highly Christianized and moral people whose heroism against Bolshevik occupation is legendary.
Responsible for the monstrosity of Bolshevism
Why Orban supported Israel and its cohorts, who were, according to Putin, responsible for the monstrosity of Soviet Bolshevism, defeats me. The only word that comes to mind is snake, as in viper or Winston Churchill, who was evil and equally duplicitous.
Support from Donald Trump and JD Vance
Secondly, the arrogant and psychotic President of the United States, Donald Trump, was elected not because he was popular but simply because his main rivals, the Democratic Party, were far worse.
Rat or Mice for Dinner?

The American voters had a stark choice: Here is your menu. Do you prefer rats or a plate full of mice? They chose the rat and, oh boy, did the rats then come crawling out of the swamp. Well, Trump had said he would drain the swamp.
The door knockers from hell
Apart from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, it would be difficult to unearth anywhere in world politics two figures more internationally reviled than Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and their cohorts, JD Vance, plus an infestation of other self-serving political misfits.
Both put their weight behind Viktor Orban’s political campaign, which was, of course, the kiss of death for Hungary’s Fidesz Party.

Viktor Orban is now in opposition. Good riddance to a political chameleon who disappointed tens of millions of Europeans.
A rock and a hard place
This is not to endorse the winning Tisza Party led by Peter Magyar. Sadly, the luckless electorate of the European Union is in the same hapless electorate as pre-Trump America.
They two are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Only Putin can save Europe now. Michael Walsh, award-winning international journalist.

The Hungarian election is truly sad. I wonder how much damage will take place before buyers remorse kicks in. Or will it kick in.

I had hoped Orban would be a great anti-immigrant leader for Hungary, but as an ally to satanic Israel? Nope. Every single one of them must go and I agree that any alliance with Trump is rightfully the final nail in the coffin.
