Immortality is a Reality and not a Choice

MICHAEL WALSH: We reach for the stars, but what about reaching out for yet another mortal existence from the cosmos?

After all, we have all been here before. We will return time after time, often with the same companions.

The connections and agreements our souls make occur before each mortal birth.

As we progress through each stage of life, this phenomenon fascinates us. It remains one of the most mysterious parts of our spiritual journey.

The idea is self-effacing:

Before incarnating, our soul chooses certain experiences and connections. Some of the people associated with your life and the places you empathise with are familiar from the past. The experiences we feel empathy for may not be new at all.

Those that appear to be new associates or companions may actually be known from past lives. These are spiritual relationships that accompany us from life to life.

This is why we have a mysterious sense of familiarity. They will support our growth and evolution.

If you don’t, then worry not because of disconnectivity, which means you are not as finely tuned as others.

Reality should resonate

Nothing in our recycled incarnations is random. They are echoes of past lives, companions and experiences.

We choose our life and its influences. The people we meet along the way are part of these past connections and experiences.

This includes parents, partners, friends, and the special ones in our life. It also includes even those who challenge us.

There will be familiarities in friends and partnerships that we find difficult to evaluate.

The immortal beloved. However, there is an inescapable perception. We regard new friends not as new at all. They feel like old acquaintances from past lives.

Some of these contracts are associated with karma. They help us finish old lessons or assist in breaking repeating patterns from past lives.

Familiarity is a normal process

The place we’re born into can be part of this enigmatic sense of empathy. The family we arrive in can also contribute. Additionally, the society around us plays a role.

If there is an esoteric feeling of familiarity, it is for a reason. Stop questioning it.

Some souls will purposely choose harder paths before returning to mortality. They may do this to develop strength, compassion, independent progress, endurance, or empathy.

We are unable to decide how or when we die. Others want to continue where they left off. Death intervened in an earlier life.

Others choose more supportive environments where they may learn responsibility, generosity, or deeper forms of love. What makes soul contracts so profound is that we usually don’t remember them.

The bigger design

During their mortality, some people finally wake up to the realisation. They see themselves as a wandering soul in the billions of constellations.

Then, they start noticing how certain moments, recollections or people were part of a much bigger and more enduring design.

When we reconnect with our soul’s purpose, everything begins to make sense, even the painful past and present parts.

Freedom of choice

Soul contracts don’t take away our free will. They simply set the stage. How do we move through those experiences? This is entirely up to us.

Seeing life through this awareness brings a completely different perspective. Our struggles as we go through life to life stop looking like coincidences or accidents of fate.

They instead become opportunities for growth and understanding. Sometimes all it takes is shifting our view to understand the lessons from the past. They have been there all along, and they will repeat.
