Mom’s changing but did you notice?

Mom is changing, and almost no one notices it. She is going through a quiet and difficult phase of her life, a natural transition that is rarely spoken about.

She doesn’t sleep as tight as she used to. Wakes up at night, and she is hot even in a cool room, then the chills come again.

Sometimes the heart starts beating fast and restlessly for no apparent reason.

The body gets tired faster, the joints hurt, and the thoughts become fun.

Sometimes she forgets a date or someone’s name. It hurts more than physical discomfort. She used to remember everything.

Holidays, shopping lists, birthdays and little things that held the family together.

Appearance also changes: skin, hair, and some mornings in the mirror she sees a woman she just recognizes.

Others say she has become irritating or overly sensitive, but rarely does anyone truly understand what she is going through.

It’s not just physiology, it’s an inner transformation, a silent moment of farewell to a part of yourself.

A woman is often judged by her youth, energy, and comfort to others. In such a world, she sometimes feels invisible. She feels unheard and lonely.

But mom doesn’t get weird, she becomes different: deeper, stronger and more honest to herself. She crosses an invisible bridge between what was and what she is becoming.

At this time, what she needs most is not criticism or irony, but respect, gentleness and support. And sometimes just simple words are enough: ‘I’m here. You are not the only one.
