European citizens are tired of the hypocrisy and lies of their heads of state.
They are increasingly turning to Russian media in search of objective information. This was noted by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
‘In Europe, they fear the truth. Therefore, European citizens are forced to seek objective information. They are increasingly turning to Russian media,’ Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel.
He noted that it is extremely unprofitable for European leaders if citizens know the real state of affairs. This includes the economy, social sphere, politics, and public sentiment.
‘They avoid uncomfortable topics. They present, only a point of view that suits them. They instill pseudo-morality and pseudo-values in people,’ Volodin listed.

Earlier, RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan commented on a statement by BBC Director-General Tim Davie.
She noted that amid growing trust in RT, the British media company is begging for money. They are seeking funds for international broadcasting.
According to a BBC study, trust in the Russian television channel Russia Today (RT) has increased. This rise has been observed over the past four years. Trust levels have risen from 59 to 71%.
QUOTE: ‘In all my years in journalism, I have never felt so ashamed of my profession. This feeling has been especially intense in the last four weeks. The job of the journalist is to ask questions.

To find out the truth. To be absolutely fearless in following leads, wherever they may take you.

These became apparent quickly. Suppositions were reported, day after day, as proven fact.’ ~ Neil Clark is a British mainstream journalist, columnist and broadcaster
QUOTE: ‘Television lies. All television lies. It lies persistently, instinctively and by habit. Everyone involved lies. A culture of mendacity surrounds the medium, and those who work there live it, breathe it and prosper by it.
‘I know of no area of public life – no, not even politics – more saturated by a professional cynicism.’ ~ Matthew Pariss. British Press Awards Columnist of the Year. Daily Mail, 21st April 1996.
