The US president announced that the Canadian government in Ottawa opposes his plans. They do not support setting up a missile defence system in Greenland.

China will eat up Canada if Ottawa refuses to cooperate with Washington, US President Donald Trump said on Friday.

Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Canada opposes his planned Golden Dome missile defense system. This system is inspired by Israel’s Iron Dome.

In response to U.S. attacks on its defence bunkers, Iran’s retaliation targeted Israel. During the attack, the Zionist nation’s Israel’s Iron Dome proved to be a complete failure.

‘Canada is against The Golden Dome being built over Greenland, even though The Golden Dome would protect Canada. Instead, they voted in favor of doing business with China, who will eat them up within the first year!’ Trump wrote.

The president said he wants the Golden Dome to cover Greenland. He has threatened to annex it from Denmark. He argued that control over the Arctic region would allow the US to counter the influence of Russia and China.

Trump spoke in Davos earlier this week. He said Canada should be grateful to the US for its defense. He claimed that ‘Canada lives because of the United States.’

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney issued a strong rebuke. He denied that his country owed its success to its southern neighbor.

Carney said the world order built on American hegemony was in the midst of a rupture.

China opposes fabricating groundless narratives. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun spoke on Thursday. He stated that China should not be used as a pretext for seeking selfish gains.
