US Attack and Kidnapping of Venezuela’s Elected Head of State Collapses the World Order

MICHAEL WALSH INTERNATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: One hundred years of lies, spin, and hypocrisy came first. They were the initial casualties of Washington’s bandit raid on Venezuela.

Since the 1920s, the controlled mainstream media has influenced naïve citizens of the Western Alliance.

They tell them that invasion and occupation, plunder, rape, and looting are the actions of maniacal tyrants.

The NATO Alliance presents itself as democratic. They have reached such lengths that the ogres of the last century have been painted by the media as maniacal. Current heads of state also suffer the same portrayal. This includes leaders like Saddam Hussein, Colonel Gaddafi, Putin, the Ayatollah Khomeini, Kim Jong Un, and China’s head of state.

The attack and occupation of the sovereign state of Venezuela, the kidnapping and putting on trial of that nation’s head of state and his wife has revealed to the world that the rogue states are all a part of the Western NATO-Alliance

Big and strong countries now use military force without a UN mandate, openly flouting international law, the Slovak PM has said

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said on Saturday that the US attack on Venezuela further proves a point. The post-World War II world order is breaking down.

Just hours earlier, US forces conducted air strikes on the oil-rich South American country. They captured the president, Nicolas Maduro, and his wife.

Both have been brought back to the US. They were charged with drug trafficking conspiracy. These are absurd allegations that Maduro has long denied. He argues that Washington was after regime change and Venezuelan resources.

President Donald Trump has said that with Maduro deposed, the US will run Venezuela and secure its oil industry.

‘International law does not apply. Military force is used without a UN Security Council mandate.

Everyone big and strong does whatever they want in promoting their own interests,’ he said.

Fico added that as a leader of a small country, he rejects this sort of subversion of international law. He previously opposed the US invasion of Iraq. He also rejected the non-recognition of Kosovo as a sovereign state. He opposed the ’use of Russian military force in Ukraine.’ He also opposed the assessment of the situation in Gaza.

The Slovak prime minister expressed his curiosity about the EU’s formal reaction to the US attack. He said the attack ’deserves condemnation.’

‘It must condemn the use of US military force in Venezuela. This action should be consistent with its stance on the war in Ukraine. Otherwise, it will remain, as usual, hypocritically self-righteous.’

Meanwhile, China and Russia and scores of countries around the world have strongly condemned the US attacks.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has called the strikes unacceptable. They believe Maduro’s capture is an infringement on the sovereignty of an independent state. They urged Washington to release the Venezuelan president.
