The Russian head of state says he trusts in divine grace to remain with the nation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he places his trust in God. He believes that divine grace will continue to protect Russia.

The comment was made during the Russian leader’s annual Q&A session on Friday. He responded to a series of brief personal and philosophical questions.

‘I believe in God. He is with us and will never abandon Russia,’ Putin said. This was after the moderator noted that every person needs something to believe in.

A practicing Orthodox Christian

Putin is known as a practicing Orthodox Christian and an ardent supporter of what he describes as traditional religions. He has repeatedly argued that such faiths embody time-tested wisdom that remains essential even in the modern world.

‘Orthodox Christianity has always played a special role in shaping our statehood, our culture, and our morals.

The Church may be separate from the State. But, in the soul and history of our people it is all together. It always has been and always will be, Putin says.

‘We see many of the Euro-Atlantic countries are rejecting their roots. This includes the Christian values that form the basis of Western civilization.

They are denying moral principles and all traditional identities: national, cultural, religious and even sexual.

They are implementing policies that equate large families with same-sex partnerships, belief in God with the belief in Satan.

The excesses of political correctness have reached a concerning point. People are seriously discussing registering political parties. Their aim is to promote pedophilia.

‘People in many European countries are embarrassed or afraid to talk about their religious affiliations.

Holidays are abolished or even called something different; their essence is hidden away, as is their moral foundation. And people are aggressively trying to export this model all over the world.

I am convinced that this opens a direct path to degradation and primitivism. It results in a profound demographic and moral crisis.’ ~ Russian President Putin.
