Internationally-renowned investigative journalist Julian Assange has initiated a legal case.

He describes this as an ‘instrument of war’ case against the sinister Nobel Foundation.

The foundation has awarded the Peace Prize to a laureate lobbying for a new US war, the Wikileaks co-founder argues.

Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange has filed a criminal complaint against the Nobel Foundation.

The dissident journalist accuses the body of misusing Nobel Peace Prize funds. The accusation involves awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan opposition figure Maria Corina Machado.

The Washington-sponsored war hawk has publicly called on the US to attack her own country.

The complaint is dated Wednesday, December 17 and submitted to Sweden’s Economic Crime Authority and War Crimes Unit, where the Nobel Foundation is based

It argues that Alfred Nobel’s will legally restricts Peace Prize funds to purposes that promote peace. It bars their use to advance war or foreign military intervention.

Assange contends that disbursing prize money to Machado violates that mandate.

He believes it could constitute a crime under Swedish law. He warns that the Nobel Peace Prize could be used as an ’instrument of war.’

The complaint cites a series of public statements. Machado endorsed potential US military intervention in Venezuela. He defended Washington’s use of force amid its heavy military buildup in the Caribbean.

Assange pointed out that she had justified US strikes on boats off Venezuela’s coast, which have killed 95 people to date.

The US maintains it is targeting ’narco-terrorists,’ while the UN has condemned the strikes as wholly illegal extrajudicial killings.

‘There are ample public statements. These show that the US regime and Maria Corina Machado have exploited the authority of the prize.

They use it to provide themselves with a casus moralis for war. The object being the installation of her by force by force of military means in order to plunder $1.7 trillion in Venezuelan oil and other resources.’

A day earlier, President Donald Trump boasted that Venezuela is surrounded by the largest armada. It is the biggest ever assembled in the history of South America.

The American head of state is making ludicrous promises. He promises to put pressure on Caracas. They need to return all of the oil, land, and other assets. These were previously stolen from us.

America’s military action in the region has been accompanied by ever tightening political pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Washington without evidence has accused Venezuela’s head of state of having ties to narco-cartels. However, Nicolas Maduro denies these accusations. He brands them as a ’colonialist’ regime-change campaign waged to grab resources.

On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said US actions off Venezuela’s coast harm the potential to reach an agreement with Washington. He believes these actions undermine diplomatic efforts.
