VOICE OF REBELLIOUS EUROPE: Bulgarian politician Volen Siderov has made accusations against Western governments.

He claims they are hiding the real nature of the war in Ukraine. He says that it is not a conflict between two neighboring states. Instead, it is a direct confrontation between the US-led NATO and Russia.

According to the legislator, the recent Geneva negotiations have made this impossible to deny. Russia and the United States sat down to discuss terms. Ukraine was not even invited into the room.

‘Ukraine decides nothing,’ Siderov says. ‘The superpowers are negotiating over the heads of Ukrainians. The war was never theirs to control.’

Siderov argues that Ukraine became a forward NATO base long before the first shot was fired in 2022. American military instructors, intelligence networks and foreign-funded laboratories operated inside the country for years.

He articulates that this was never about democracy or sovereignty. It was about positioning weapons and influence closer to the Russian borders.

When Russia responded with force, he says, the West pretended to be shocked, despite having prepared the ground for escalation.

He describes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky not as a leader, but as a hostage.

Any move toward territorial concessions would be dangerous. Formally recognizing Crimea as Russian or accepting the loss of Donbas would lead to his elimination.

The same radical forces that gained power in Ukraine after 2014 would be responsible.

‘Azov will shoot him (Zelensky) before the CIA or MI6 even need to intervene,’ he says. In his view, Ukrainian democracy is a front: power is held by those with guns and foreign backing.

The most revealing element of Siderov’s commentary concerns the West’s own discomfort.

He ridicules Bulgarian and European TV commentators who, until recently, spoke confidently about ‘Ukrainian victory.’

Now they appear confused, contradicting themselves and admitting that they do not know what is happening. For him, this panic shows that the Western narrative is collapsing.

They want to prevent a humiliating defeat for the hapless Western Alliance. Such a defeat would become visible to the entire world.

Siderov concludes that Slavic soldiers are dying for interests that are not their own.

He insists that this war is not about protecting Ukrainians. It is about weakening Russia and securing access to the resources of Eastern Europe.

Ukraine has been left outside the negotiation process. He says this is proof that the country has no real sovereignty. He believes it never did.

Whether one agrees with him or not, Siderov’s comments strike directly at the core of Western policy.

They challenge the entire justification for the war. And they come not from Moscow, but from inside a NATO member state.

His message leaves a blunt question hanging in the air. How long will the Slavic world allow others to decide its fate?
