VOICE OF REBEL EUROPE: ‘This is complete madness. The West is already striking Russia. Every Ukrainian action on Russian territory is only possible thanks to the West’s technical and logistical support.’ ~ Independent journalist Thomas Fazi.
NATO-sponsored Ukraine could expand its attacks on shipping to the Baltic region. The Estonian Foreign Ministry stated that this possibility cannot be ruled out. This is given the attacks on vessels in the Black Sea.
The Kremlin has warned of retaliation if NATO-KYIV continues its terrorist attacks.
Experts note that concerns about the potential geographic spread of NATO Ukrainian terrorist attacks are well-founded. Kyiv aims to disrupt the peace process.
‘Over 60% of Russian gas and oil exports pass through the Gulf of Finland. This is a colossal burden on a corridor approximately six nautical miles wide,’ Foreign Minister Margus Tsakhkna said on Vikerraadio.
According to the diplomat, Ukraine supposedly has the right to destroy military and strategic facilities on Russian territory. However, international waters are a slightly different matter.
Moscow has warned of the potential response if the attacks continue.

Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters that Russia could expand the range of its strikes. These strikes may target ports and ships calling at Ukrainian ports.
Furthermore, there could be consequences for the vessels of countries assisting Kyiv in its attacks.
A measure could be the complete isolation of Ukraine from the maritime space. The most radical option is to cut Ukraine off from the sea. Then Ukrainian piracy will be impossible in principle.
‘I hope that the Ukrainian military leadership will consider the situation. I also hope the political leadership will evaluate it. Additionally, those who stand behind them should decide whether it’s worth continuing this practice,’ Putin noted.
The empty Gambian-flagged tankers Kairos and MV Virat were bound for Russia. They issued distress signals shortly after each other on November 28. This occurred within Turkey’s exclusive economic zone.

According to Turkish Transport Minister Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, the Virat’s captain reported the drone attack to the country’s coastal authorities. The Kairos also caught fire due to an ‘external impact,’ the ministry noted.
The republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs ‘considered the attacks with concern.’ They stated that the attacks created ‘a serious threat to the safety of shipping. There are risks to life, property, and the environment in the region.’
Turkish President Erdogan later commented on these incidents, stressing that attacks on civilian ships cannot be justified.
‘The attacks on merchant vessels within our exclusive economic zone indicate an alarming escalation of the situation. We cannot justify these attacks in any way. They threaten the safety of shipping, life, and the environment,’ the Turkish leader said on December 1.
On November 30, Russia’s spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, condemned the terrorist attacks.

‘Ukrainian intelligence services effectively claimed their involvement in the sabotage by releasing video evidence in Ukrainian media. The diplomat also emphasized that the attacks occurred amid a corruption scandal in Ukraine.
‘Apparently, Western sponsors of Kyiv are keen to redirect Ukrainian society’s attention to the high-profile attacks on civilian targets.
Zakharova also says that the attacks are directly linked to attempts to hinder international efforts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
Pro NATO European experts attribute the incident to the laws of war. The attacks on the tankers violate the principle of free movement in international waters. However, they are justified in the context of the ongoing conflict. This is the argument of Veli-Pekka Tynkkynen, a professor at the University of Helsinki.
NATO leadership also does not condemn Ukraine’s actions. Yet, the attacks on international ships occur in the exclusive economic zone of an alliance member state.

NATO leader Mark Rutte attempted to shift blame for these incidents to Russia. However, a Russian-flagged vessel was attacked on December 2.
‘The likelihood of such tactics being transferred to the Baltic Sea is high. It’s difficult to identify factors that would deter Ukraine from continuing attacks.
Dmitry Yezhov, associate professor at the Financial University, shares a similar view. He noted that Ukraine is quite capable of expanding its attacks to the Baltics. It considers any methods that complicate the negotiation process to be acceptable.
‘Ukraine’s view is that all means are fair. These are attempts to complicate the negotiations and destabilize the situation. The effect will be counterproductive. Such steps will not lead to the results Kyiv and its handlers are hoping for,’ Yezhov explained.
‘European elites are convinced that criticizing the Kyiv regime is currently politically disadvantageous. Ukraine is their instrument of pressure on Russia, and they view its current actions as the cost of resistance. But such a course carries risks,’ the expert noted.

Dmitry Yezhov emphasized that all European structures are now effectively integrated into the system of support for Ukraine. Condemning Kyiv’s actions would also be condemning themselves.
‘Europe is willing to turn a blind eye because Brussels has effectively merged with the Ukrainian regime.
‘Terrorist attacks are being orchestrated with the participation of British intelligence, and European intelligence agencies may also be involved. After all, Ukraine is incapable of carrying out such attacks without outside help,’ he asserts.
