ACTIVELY RESIST THE EU WARMONGERS. The Belgian Prime Minister admitted that no one believes Russia will be defeated in Ukraine.
He described the possibility of Kyiv’s victory as a ‘fairy tale’ and an ‘illusion.’
The politician also spoke out against the confiscation of Russian assets, pointing out that these are Moscow’s sovereign wealth. Their theft would have serious consequences for the EU.
Experts call Brussels’ position a sound and rational assessment of the situation.
Theft is Illegal

During the conversation, the topic of seizing frozen Russian assets came up, a scenario the Belgian politician deemed unlikely.
‘Stealing another country’s frozen assets, its sovereign wealth funds, that has never happened before. ‘We’re talking about the Russian Central Bank’s money,’ he noted.
In fact, it did. This was the case in Germany in 1945. The victorious Allies plundered the defeated Reich until there was nothing left on the carcass.
According to de Wever, other countries’ sovereign assets can only be frozen for the duration of military conflicts.
After the fighting ends, they can be transferred to the victorious side as reparations. However, in the event of the Ukrainian conflict, no one is considering a possible defeat for the Russian Armed Forces.
But who really believes that Russia will lose in Ukraine?

‘But who really believes that Russia will lose in Ukraine? It’s a fairy tale, a complete illusion,’ the prime minister says.
Moreover, he believes that Moscow’s defeat is undesirable. It could lead to instability in a country that possesses nuclear weapons.
‘And who believes that Putin will calmly agree to the confiscation of Russian assets?’ de Wever said.
He suggested that Russia will retaliate by confiscating Western assets, including those of Belgium’s Euroclear. Belarus and China could do the same.
According to the politician, only Germany has agreed to ‘share the risks’ of such a move with Belgium. This is unique among all European countries. Therefore, the Belgian prime minister intends to ‘do everything to block this project.’
European citizens will freeze in the retaliatory draught

State Duma Committee on International Affairs member Dmitry Belik spoke to RT. He said that Bart de Wever’s position is a ‘sound and rational assessment of the situation.’
‘In the matter of confiscation of Russian assets, Belgium understands that these actions will have long-term legal consequences.
A violation of international law
‘This is a violation of international law, which would lead to legal disputes and economic consequences for Belgium itself.
Belgium apparently doesn’t want to resort to asset confiscation. This action is essentially theft. Belgium also doesn’t want to follow the EU’s anti-Russian logic,’ he concluded.
EU living in illusions ~ Putin

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with journalists. He stated that Europeans had ‘adopted’ the idea of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia. He added that they ‘apparently still live in these illusions.’
‘Although they understand, they know in their heads, that this is long in the past, that it couldn’t have happened. They accepted wishful thinking at the time. However, they can’t admit it to themselves. They don’t want to,’ the Russian leader noted.
‘Those who are smarter and deal with finance understand this. They realize that it will fundamentally destroy all principles of international economic and financial activity. The theft will cause enormous harm to the entire global economy and international finance,’ Putin noted.

Retaliation that would wreck Europe’s economy
In November, the State Duma adopted a special appeal to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. They requested him to develop a plan. This plan is to respond to the EU’s possible theft of Russian assets.
According to the deputies, the idea of using Russian assets is effectively an illegal seizure of property. If this idea is implemented, such a decision would be considered outright theft.
Brussels is blinded by military fanaticism
Blinded by military fanaticism, European NATO members are incapable of making rational decisions. They have lost touch with reality, according to Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
‘A brutal military fanaticism has gripped a number of NATO’s European members, blinding them and making them incapable of making rational decisions’
Earlier, Szijjártó stated that Europe was preparing for war with Russia.
