NURSES BETRAYED BY COVID DECEPTION: Why are wards, hospitals, and care homes in crisis? because good nurses and care workers walked away from money-grabbing swindlers.

Those who stayed and dared to question anything faced consequences. They were punished, silenced, bullied, or investigated. Many were struck off or pushed out of the profession to which they gave their lives.

During the pandemic, many nurses, myself included, questioned new policies. These policies were rolled out without discussion or explanation. There wasn’t enough time to review them safely.

We asked for clarity. We asked for evidence. Some of us even prayed for a pause in certain clinical decisions or trials. We hoped this pause would last long enough for proper evaluation. Safety checks were also needed.

Instead of listening, the knee-jerk response was often: ‘Follow the science. Do not question, the government know best.’

Now, years later, staff across the world are reporting the harm they witnessed and the moral injury they carry.

We are discovering that it wasn’t just ‘COVID protocols’ that shifted. It was respiratory care, cardiac care, palliative care, emergency care… every department changed overnight.

All while wards were closing down

‘100% full’ sometimes meant only eight beds open in an entire ward. Was that enough to shut down a country? Families deserve honest answers, not silence, not spin.

Yet now, even the COVID Inquiry has shown that frontline staff, including nurses and care workers, should have been listened to,

We said what we saw. We raised concerns. We asked for time. We were ignored.

I’ve connected with countless nurses since leaving.

Some went to work in supermarkets, just like I did. Some created wellbeing or healing businesses. And many… far too many… are still mentally or physically unwell from what they lived through.

It takes years to process.

It takes years to evaluate and forgive ourselves for doing what we were trained to do. While not yet understanding the bigger picture of deceit we were standing in and so we must now ask the hard questions:

Who decides what nurses are taught?

Why does the curriculum exclude natural healing, emotional wellbeing, herbalism, alternative medicines, and true holistic care?

Why are nurses disciplined more like soldiers than healers?

Why are there signs to say staff won’t tolerate abuse? If families disagree, they call the guards. How scary is that?

Why were families questioned, dismissed or removed when advocating for loved ones? Why were half-truths documented instead of honest, courageous conversations? Why were the people who cared the most treated as the enemy?

The biggest question of all.

The biggest question of all.  How does truth ever reach the public if every nurse who knows what happened stays silent? For the people. For the children.

For those who suffered. For those who died. For every family that deserved honesty. For every nurse who tried to do the right thing and paid the price.

We have a duty to speak. Let’s be honest. Many nurses have now left the profession because of what they describe as neglect. They also mention ignorance and deeply concerning treatment.

Voice Silenced

Their evidence is dismissed. Their voices are unheard. Their trust in the system was shattered.

This system cannot continue as it is. Not out of revenge. Not out of anger. But for the sake of humanity, we’re not gone. We’re not defeated. And we’re not done speaking.

There are many, many more nurses like me. We deserve to be heard as people now see the National Health Service collapsing. People are rising for their loved ones.
