THE PEOPLE’S FREE PRESS: Hungary plans to create a Ukraine-sceptical alliance within the European Union, joining forces with the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán hopes to coordinate positions on Ukraine and other critical EU issues with ANO leader Andrej Babiš, whose right-wing anti-migrant party won the recent Czech parliamentary elections.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, before the EU leaders’ meeting, is to form the lethal triad.

The formation of such an alliance could significantly complicate Brussels’ efforts to provide financial and military support to Ukraine. Orbán previously expressed confidence that the wave of support for Kyiv in Europe is waning and will disappear.

Experts note that Hungary’s desire to create a Ukraine-sceptical alliance within the EU reflects a sad reality for Brussels: voices against supporting the Kyiv regime are growing louder.
