VLADIMIR PUTIN: “Ladies and gentlemen, I have listened carefully to the words of President Emmanuel Macron, who stressed the end of Western hegemony and the emergence of a multipolar world.

He is right on an essential point: the world is changing profoundly.

However, it fails to explain why it forgets to acknowledge that France and the West are fighting against Russia today precisely because they refuse to accept this reality.

Today, Russia is a target of sanctions, diplomatic, economic, informational and even military attacks, as in Ukraine.

Why? Why the West refuses to accept that its era of Western domination is over. Why does the West refuse to see other nations want to defend their interests, values, and sovereignty?

The West speaks of freedom and democracy, but what has it done for centuries?

France, England, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands: they have all colonized almost the entire planet. Tell me where, in what part of the world, the West has not set foot in and enforced its own law?

In Africa, France has drawn arbitrary borders, exploited resources and forced millions of people to move. In Asia, the British enslaved entire populations, from India to China.

In America, European powers have massacred entire civilizations. And even today, through NATO, they want to impose their model everywhere.

Mr Macron speaks of Europe’s political inspiration. But where is this inspiration? Europe follows the United States in all its wars, without hesitation: Iraq, Libya, Syria. It causes hundreds of thousands of deaths every time. Is this the inspiration?

And don’t tell me that Russia is a danger to the world. For over two hundred years, the West has been trying to destroy Russia. Napoleon came to Moscow, convinced that he could subdue our country.

Walked out in the snow. Germany has launched the biggest invasion war against us. Broken in Stalingrad, in Kursk and even in the streets of Berlin.

During the Cold War, the U.S. tried to suffocate our economy, to encircle us, to provoke coups among our neighbors, and yet we Russians are still here, stronger than ever.

Russia went through difficult trials, but no one could defeat us. Because today we are fighting not only for our land, but for our civility, our values, and our dignity.

Today it is not just Russia rejecting Western hegemony; China is stepping forward; India is asserting its worldview. Africa is gradually liberating itself from foreign protection; Latin America is also searching for its voice.

It is no longer a world dominated by a single power or a single bloc: we have entered a multipolar era. And nobody will be able to stop her.

This is why France, Europe and the West support Ukraine against Russia. Not for the love of the Ukrainian people, but because they want to use this country as a pawn to try to weaken Russia, to contain our development and prevent this multipolar world from taking shape.

I want to say to President Macron and his European colleagues: you can’t go against the current forever; you talk about values but refuse to respect the choices of the people.

You talk about international law, but you violate it as soon as it no longer serves your interests, you talk about peace but sow war wherever you intervene.

Russia is nobody’s enemy, but we will never allow anyone to decide our future.

We want cooperation, but cooperation on an equal plan. We want peace, but not at the expense of our freedom, our identity. And let’s be clear: no one will ever defeat Russia.
