Before setting out on your travels, especially to the other side of the world, most travellers spend a little time in solitude to pray for a safe journey. As the saying goes, more prayers are said in an airport than in any place of worship on earth.
Richard Guerin, a young man on a quest, having bought his airflight tickets in the United States to Tokyo, would have been no exception.
After all, when at home and in a place where things are all familiar, things can and do go wrong, but they can be put right. It’s modern life.
For this travelling man, things did go wrong, badly wrong, as he became sick for two long days and nights in Tokyo airport whilst en route to South East Asia.
What ailed him? In a word, fever. Richard’s throat was on fire. The young traveller had a high temperature, was nauseous and was wracked by a vicious cough. Could it be Covid? On this occasion, Doctor Time was of little help.
His fever persisted, and a long way from home, his travel insurance was of little comfort when caught unexpectedly in such a soul-destroying and indeed threatening situation.
Although modern, the local hospital had no quick solution to his illness. He needed much TLC (tender loving care, and time). Sadly, these essentials in his dire suspended whilst travelling were unavailable

During the second visit to the hospital, Richard underwent blood tests, a flu swab, and he had chest x-rays. It turned out that Richard Guerin had pneumonia.
RIGHT: The Healing Sanctuary in Spain
Clearly, what was needed was a period of hospitalization and observation with various suck and see treatments.
Having been successfully treated by Carol Everett on several earlier occasions and being impressed by her psychic powers of healing, he contacted her in the far distant hope that the lovely shaman could alleviate his distress.
On hearing of Richard’s health problems, but aware of the awesome distance that separated her from Richard Guerin, it was inevitably going to be a long shot.
Besides, Ms. Everett was distracted by other patients whilst heavily engaged in creating her ‘Field of Dreams’ at her sanctuary in Totana, in Southern Spain.

When approached, the suffering young traveller was trying to come to terms with his misfortune.
‘I will give it a go, Richard’, the psychic told him. ‘It is a long way. I can only try.’
The Japanese doctors’ advice was to stay put until the sickness could be identified and dealt with at the source.
Explaining to Richard that he would have to make decisions, he was reminded that whatever followed would have consequences. Should he stay in the hospital or, having contacted Ms. Everett, travel on? It was a tough one.
The stricken young man was aware that Carol Everret had retired and was distracted by domestic matters and personal ambitions.
‘Maybe he needs home and an attentive girlfriend who could take care of him? After all, for reasons already clarified, Ms. Everett really was the Last Chance Saloon.
Replying to her mild protestations, the two agreed to give the distant healing process a chance. Engaging her higher energies whilst focused on her ailing client and friend, Richard Guerin was soon on the mend.
Soon, pronounced fit and healthy enough to continue with his travelling plans, the now fit young traveller resumed his pilgrimage to his destiny.
For Carol Everett, his story was just another in a long string of successful interventions of those who, in similar situations, found themselves at the mercy of their presumed destiny.
